D&D 5E (2014) People didn't like the Psionic Talent Die

Maybe not too long. I was bored with psionics for 5e the moment people started bringing it up. :p I would never do something awful in someone else's cereal though. To each their own.

    I still say SO-Crates.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Fair. I understand the several week lag time, but maybe let my more recent thoughts override that reality check. Worry that this slow burn we are at could become a flare once again if we grew too complacent. I did have my first chance at eating at a restaurant since early this year. Ate...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

I have a concern. While the number of new cases each day in the US seems to be slightly going down (some days spiking back up), it is mostly pretty consistent. ~20k a day. The number of deaths though seems to be dropping much more dramatically. Does this mean we have a handle on it, and...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

I had a similar discussion earlier today with a co-worker. It certainly is possible.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Probably my natural pessimism but, I have this lingering suspicion that this will all sneak back in a big way as the 'old news COVID' tries to work its way back into the American news cycle. Not saying the other stuff dominating the news isn't important by any means. It is. Just, I worry about...

D&D 5E (2014) What setting would you like for an adventure?

I voted for Red Steel because it sounded cool. Then I looked it up, and was proven correct. It does sound cool. Also I want an Al Qadim/ desert adventure so bad. Spelljammer would also be appreciated.

    D&D 5E (2014) A truly horrifying Age of Worms

I mean... I have yet to see a Cleric pick up remove disease unless they find they need to. And then, so what if they do? Now they are spending their slots on this instead of other, frankly more troubling spells. If your party doesn't decide to take either of these classes that are a thematic...

    D&D 5E (2014) Is 5e Darkvision A Good Design?

I know this will ruffle a good deal of petticoats, but... I don't think player races should get darkvision at all. There! I said it! Whew... feels good. I don't want to hate on races that get it, just... it always bugs me thematically. They hold the potential for changing the dynamic of...

A Essay -- The Knight vs. the Samurai

Well, it tricked me into voting.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Yeah, I felt I was opening myself up with that statement. And correct, if your situation is go to work while a little under the weather, or lose your job/have hours cut, it's going to be tough not to choose money that keeps your family going over public safety.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

I think many are thinking you get the sniffles or a little sick, so those that do, can simple use their judgement to quarantine. Not realizing that asymptomatic could potentially mean someone not even feeling slightly off, but still contagious.

Still. Kind of an important launch. Looking forward to them getting their next opportunity.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Oooo, that kind of reasonable talk over here in the US could get you classified as a fear-monger or sheep. I just had to listen to a friend talking about how someone died in a car accident and had tested positive for COVID-19 so was marked as umong the virus' victims. So that is why the US is...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

I feel like America very much half-butted our approach to 'lockdown'. And unfortunately, imposing a real lockdown now is both too late, and too harmful to the country at large. Had it not been so spotty and varied in timing, I think we would be looking at a different summer. That time has past...

D&D 5E (2014) In your Years of Gaming, How many Psionic Characters did you See played

There was one person who sometimes played one. It never ended well. One being an evil campaign where we were all supposed to be Drow, but he chose some weird human like race that had like... two other heads that were only in the astral plane or something? He got made deaf and blind from a...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

So link an article. That no one has talked about it, is due to a lack of someone bringing it up. If you think we are somehow blind to the fact that New York got blasted by this, you are wrong. It is finally quieting down in that state, while the outbreak continues to move West and South. That is...

    D&D 5E (2014) Professions in 5e

The change can certainly be daunting, especially if you liked the more measured bits of past editions. I thought I did at the time, and then I played 5e and felt like this huge weight was lifted off me. My world was now my world, and I didn't have to worry about some preexisting rule that I...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Yeah I have to agree. I would love to come tour Japan. Also... Why am I not more surprised by this little snippet from the Fox News article? While Cavuto was issuing a dire warning to Fox News viewers about the drug, Fox News host Laura Ingraham has continued to promote the drug as a potential...

D&D 5E (2014) Optimal build for mulitclass kensei (monk)/samurai (fighter)?

I was actually toying with this myself for my Lizardfolk Kensei. Str 10 Dex 16 Con 16 Int 10 Wis 16 Cha 8 This is at lvl 6 mind you. I think regardless of which you want to start off in, you want to stick with it for the first 5 levels. Get that Extra attack. I have longsword, throwing...
