    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

So you would take your 'all powerful' Sorcerer, and turn him into a wizard?

    Blade Dancing

Noted. A wife who can blade dance is always right.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

You are wrong my guy/girl. If you think there are a majority of DMs out there, that let invisible or hidden enemies just pick apart their parties because they 'aren't in combat yet' even though their very defenses and preparations are under attack you are just dreaming. If I did what you are...

    D&D 5E (2014) Unearthed Arcana: Gothic Lineages & New Race/Culture Distinction

Personally, I like the Hexblood most of all.

What do space empires fight over?

Fixed. But yes. The Babylonians on Babylon 5 had a pretty solid space station city-state for a while.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Certainly. Or if I have to, ways to counter other cheesy situations. Not everyone plays the same as me, and I like to be equipped to deal with that if I need to. Right... for big villains, I prefer that they aren't these odd solo edge cases. Organizations are easier to wield and are less prone...

What do space empires fight over?

I skimmed, so forgive me if someone called it out and I missed it, but I think Babylon 5 did well here. You have the war that started as a misinterpretation of cultures or translation. And those that are following doctrine or belief, however you may see it. The Shadows believe struggle was a...

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Oh no. I wouldn't really take his ridiculously bleak backstory and use that. I meant some of the builds. And then twist them into something a bit more practical. Giving the villain some more pragmatic motivations and goals. The super tragic childhood trope is much too played out for bad guys...

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

I like it. Some rambling clearly wounded individual traveling about the world declaring himself the King who defeated all wizards. Liberator of civilization. Rings a bit of Dennis the Golden God. But yeah. I mean... I think I see a Sorcerer king post from this guy about once a month? They...

    D&D 5E (2014) A Wizard's Guide to Fighting

And Hohige dumps on another thread that has nothing to do with his pet sorcerers.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Not a fan of needles so not going to lie, that vaccine needle still terrifies me even if it is too 'small' for a microchip.

D&D General Do You Use Verticality in Your Games? How?

Either just marking down the difference in elevation, or if I feel fancy, dice boxes and coffee cans.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Not to mention that some of this will likely require certifications. While not impossible, those can take time. Especially depending on the use and laws surrounding the handling of the product. Maybe you could whip up a production facility in a month, but if there are strict certifications...

    D&D General DM Authority

I would hit them with science, or suggest they use a spell to control/create weather. Once we have agreed on the concept of the campaign and the level of, let's say 'zaniness', that is that. It isn't even me pulling authority, it is me pointing out we all agreed to the same premise. Maybe next...

    D&D General DM Authority

Still sounds like a loss in some communication to me. Why did this person think it would fit the style or theme? Was this addressed in a session 0? Did they walk off the street and just join in the game this session? Why wasn't the feel of the world explained at that point? I have never run a...

D&D 5E (2014) Did you like one Playtest version better than the final 5e PHB?

I am pretty fly with the rules and core as it stands now. The only playtest thing I miss much, was the rules around, I think it was an early version of shield master, that let you used that as an off-hand attack weapon. There might have been difference sizes of shields then too, I can't remember.

    D&D General DM Authority

DM authority, is only as powerful, as the trust the group and the DM place within one another. I had a much longer detailed write-up, but really, after re-reading it I removed it. It just circled back to one thing over and over to me. Just as this discussion seems to. It is all a social...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Some people just don't believe this is a big deal. I can't count how often the discussion instead turns to how damaging the lockdowns are to people compared to the disease. There is no real talk about how really, both are terrible. I also often hear people, either sarcastically or not, talk...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Apologies, some of my fellow Wisconsinites are not all there on good days. Knowing what I know about people in the more conservative or rural areas of the state, this sadly isn't as shocking as it should be.
