Excellent idea! Do you have a list of ones you use in your campaign you could share?

    [August] What are you reading?

Just finished The Lies of Locke Lamora. I thought it started out a little slow, but turned out to be enjoyable. The world is interesting, and the quickened pace and twists of the second half made it a fun read. You can definitely see why the movie rights were scooped up quickly. Just started...

Michael Komarck's "The Caves of Chaos"

I've liked some of his individual works, but never put them all together as being the same guy. He has quite an impressive portfolio, good stuff.

    Venture Brothers: Victor Echo November

Definitely the funniest show on the Cartoon Network. :D

    Dragon Dynasty

I tried watching this, but 30 minutes in I was toying with the remote, by 45 minutes I had changed channels. It looks like there was some good effort put into the look of the film, but the story and dialogue were cringe-worthy. Why can't Sci-Fi find any good writing for their 'originals'?

Pee Wee's Playhouse on Adult Swim...Why?

Quoted for truth. I rarely find anything worth watching on there any more.

Lucky Streaks / Making Your Own Luck

Ok found one of them with a little help from my friend Google. http://www.enworld.org/archive/index.php/t-126878.html

Lucky Streaks / Making Your Own Luck

We had a funny dice superstitions thread a year or two ago, maybe someone can dig up or link for us. There were some good ones in there that made me laugh out loud. Like a few people who "made examples" of dice that rolled poorly to show the other dice what would happen. Myself I also leave the...

    What are you reading? [July]

Just started The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I picked it up due to the hype, the author is a gamer, and the plug from G.R.R.Martin. It's described as a fantasy Robin Hood meets Oceans 11. I'm only about 50 pages in, but it's ok so far.

    Favourite D&D Adventure?

I have to go with B5 'Horror on the Hill'. Keep on the Borderlands is a close second, but the Hill just brings back more memories... plus it was the first adventure with a dragon!

Venture Bros. premier online tonight at AdultSwim.com

Thanks for the link! I was wondering how they would handle the deaths, that was funny. :)

    A Game of Thrones

'best series evar!' Seriously this is my favorite series of all time. Like you Talath, these were the first fantasy novels where I felt like the characters were real people that I knew, and actually evoked real emotional reactions to the story.

Wow, that is a great site! *bookmarked*

Do you miss the good old days? Boxed sets and single books.

I voted boxed sets, simply for the nostalgia factor. Like it's already been said, it was fun to be able to open the box and find all sorts of neat extras included. Like the old set of dice with crayon. :) Plus you could keep everything in the box, your character, pencils, dice etc.

    Another portrait

I can't tell from the scan, but it seems like you may have focused on drawing individual components of the face one at a time? I used to do that alot. That will definately give an "off" feeling like you're saying. Especially with a live/moving model I'd recommend getting a quick outline or...

    Poll: Best superhero flick?

I voted Batman Begins, although I do like the Spider-Mans, and X-Men2 quite a bit. I love The Incredibles, but don't consider them to really fit with the rest of the films in this category.

Tech Support needed: movies won't play in browser anymore

Those are Macromedia Flash based, you probably just need to install the player again. Link: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Could use help on a vitality/action system...

I like the idea on the surface, although it does present some new problems. If you use the vitality for casting spells, would you then drop spell points? They would seem a little superfluous since the characters will likely run out of vitality before spell points at higher levels. Or would they...
