V for Victory --- any comments?

Have you read the Dogfaces material? Can you summarize what will be in the book without violating your playtesting agreement?

V for Victory --- any comments?

Well, people can't seem to get Dragon Magazine outside the US for some reason! It is definitely on the more serious side. There is a little humor, but I'd say all of the stories are serious and do not have a happy ending. It's a bleak telling of the war in the spirit of "Stalingrad," "Thin...

V for Victory --- any comments?

Don't know if you get DC Comics in Australia, but Garth Ennis (Hellblazer, Punisher, Hitman, Preacher) writes a mini-series called "War Story" that is pretty good. The last issue I got was called "Condors" and was about four men (an Irish Fascist, an English Communist, a German Luftwaffe Pilot...

    3.5e "Unearthed Arcana"

I buy all my RPG books from buy.com. They have a 30-40% discount and no shipping charges. I get all my $30 WotC books for under $20.

V for Victory --- any comments?

I agree...I never see the point of a post like that. It seems that some people just *must* post something. BTW, I dig your sig, since I was going to run a WWII campaign called "Dogs of War" about the men of D ("Dog") Company.

V for Victory --- any comments?

I was working on a conversion system to bring the WWII to the scale of the d20 Modern vehicles. I haven't finished yet, the hang-up being that I think the M1A1 Abrams Tank is just way too wimpy compared to the other vehicles. When I get something to post, I'll be sure to post it here!

V for Victory --- any comments?

What do you think is the best training to take if you want to create a medic or chaplain character. Combat Training doesn't appear to offer enough skill points, so Leadership or Intelligence might be best. Any ideas? Also, I don't see it said explicitly anywhere, but since all the characters...

V for Victory --- any comments?

Vehicles have much higher Hull ratings in Weird War II than in d20 Modern. A German Tiger tank has close to 100 HP and a damage reduction of 40 or 50 in Weird War II, compared to the M1A1 Abrams tank DR 20 and 64 HP in d20 Modern. Also in WWII, certain weapons, particularly artillery and...

V for Victory --- any comments?

Re: Re: V for Victory Yes, I liked that it uses D&D rules, since you can download the SRD and have it on your computer. As to people in other countries not getting it the magazine, perhaps Paizo should PDF the old d20 mini-games after 6-12 months and make them available for download on their...

V for Victory --- any comments?

Sorry, Chris, I forgot about the Japanese and Italian info. Good job, by the way. I can't wait for more! Until then, I plan to fill in the gaps (vehicles mostly) with PEG's Weird War II books.

V for Victory --- any comments?

VFV uses Hit Points, Defense, and two styles: Hollywood and Gritty: Gritty: Starting HP = HD at first level (10 for d10, etc.,); Massive Damage Threshold = 10. Hollywood: Starting HP = Con at first level; Massive Damage Threshold = 20. Campaign advice and rules on everything from partisans to...

V for Victory --- any comments?

I just got it. It's very limited in scope, as in your pretty much stuck playing infantry types, but it is pretty close to a "classless" system. You build your character by choosing a pre-war profession (similar to d20 Modern), selecting training (Combat, Intelligence, Leadership, Recon...kind...

    World War II D20 Modern

A good source of d20 stats for WWII (and the occult) is the Weird War II line by Pinnancle (www.peginc.com). So far, they have the following books: Blood on the Rhine (Western Europe) Afrika Korpse (North Africa) Land of the Rising Dead (Pacific) Hell Freezes Over (Russia--coming soon)...

    World War II D20 Modern

Yes, I was especially sad since I just finished his memoir of WWII just two months ago. I forget the title, but you can find it online or in your library. It really sheds a lot of light on the life of a "doggie" in WWII.

That was Sgt. Joe Toye and I think they were trying to convey the amount of crap these guys had to carry. It was really interesting.

    Jedi Outcast on PS2?

Does anyone know if Jedi Outcast will be on Playstation 2? I mean, it's on PC, Gamecube and XBox, but not PS2. My computer sucks, so I was hoping for the PS2 version.

Whoa...I'm Catholic, but I've never heard of a Catholic priest who plays D&D. Neat... What kind of campaigns do you run?
