    Rules Clarification: Ray Deflection

"You gain the ability to perceive weak points in your opponent’s armor. Your first melee or ranged attack each round is resolved as a touch attack." So says the spell. It's a touch attack, so the wording of the two spells is fairly clear that any touch attack (such as above) is rendered null.

Why 3 monks? And why no arcane caster? Aren't we suppose to be gauging its relative balance in relationship to other aspects of the game, such as classes?

    Monk?

I'm still hoping for a PbP to come out of this. :p

    Monk?

I suggest expanding past core. Since it was stated that Monks can improve through access to ACFs, why not give them all books to work with? I say that, yes, single classed, but allowing one PrC in the build. I also think that we should have a representative of each role present, stealth, melee...

    Monk?

I second the suggestion from the other thread that dandu made about PbP test playing the monk with other classes. I'd be happy to participate. But not as the monk.

Try it in your game? Remove caster level.

I've never really needed more proof to the monk's relative lack of power than the Unarmed Swordsage. Swordsage is generally considered to be a low Tier 3, barely out of Tier 4. I would say that makes it "balanced" in comparison to other classes; Since OP doesn't want them compared, why not? But...

Question for groups who rotate DM's

    1. Yes. 2. We don't house rule anything in my group. We try to limit homebrew, but beyond that we allow basically with the exception of Pun-Pun and Planar Shepherd, which didn't really take any discussion. 3. We had 4, the more experienced half of the group. When the group expanded past...

    Skyrim challenge!

This fairly standard Gish build would do it. Arch slayer Race:Human (requires:Militia) Wizard 6/Eldritch Knight 10/DragonSlayer 1/Spellsword 1/Archmage 2 BAB: +16 CL: 19

    Skyrim challenge!

There are ways to make it already; A barbarian with some dragon based feats. I'd still like to write something up when I have the time, though. I'd probably make a more melee oriented Dragon Devotee.

    Is Rogue a problematic class?

Especially at higher levels, losing a 1st level spell slot for trap fodder is probably more efficient.

    D&D 3.x 3.5 ShielMaster/Crusader worth for tanking?

If you want something for taunting people, Knight's Challenge does it better. Only 1 level is needed for it. A couple levels of fighter would free up some feats. I wouldn't do much more than that, because, as has been stated, high level maneuvers are well worth it.

    Custom Prestige class: Time Mage

I agree with many of the above comments; Also, it will take some more doing to translate (literally and mechanically) Final Fantasy to Dungeons & Dragons. Stopaga, for example, is already named in D&D. I think they call it Temporal Stasis.

    Question.

If you gestalt a Monk with a UAS variant Swordsage, do their Unarmed Strike progressions stack? If so, what would be the damage out put be at 20th level, assuming INa, other such feats and Greater Mighty Wallop bonuses?

    Epic Magic Items Pricing

Technically yes on the first one, although I think the +6 is off. Also, I find the x10 for epic weapons stupid, and generally ignore it for my games where money is made in enough gratuity for it to matter. Technically yes for the first part, although I think the
