Gris, I don't know if anyone has pointed this out, but you can get along very well in HackMaster without the Hacklopedia. Just use the old MM, FF and MMII adding the 20hp kicker to the monsters. Shazaam! Quality HACKING for about 60 bucks! :D
Re: Comma usage
Partly untrue. It's entirely optional. Neither is more correct than the other. Including the final comma is considered more formal. And that is straight from an English usage handbook. It is simply a difference in style. :)
You would be a relief compared to a recent "gamer" in my group. He played two classes: monk or barbarian. He played two characters: Orion the monk and Sisk the barbarian...over and over and over! :(
