    Adv2 Item sets

Is it just me (and it would be perfectly fine if it was) or does anyone else get the distinct feeling that the items in the items set section of the new Adventurer's vault are on average quite a bit more powerful than your standard items?

    Balance implications of Cheaper Multiclassing?

Make the first multiclass feat just as it is. Make the second and further feats allow you to swap one encounter and a utility power each. Or one daily and one utility power each. Replace the paragon multi-classing text to this. I understand the 16th level feature is not picture perfect, as it...

The counter-argument is that this is NOT a specific vs. general situation, because the general rule clarifies what happens IN this situation. This is because the section of critical hit that points out that only a 20 is an automatic hit works WITH this rule to ensure you know that holy ardor...

    D&D 5E (2014) What direction should 5th edition take?

Also there's the whole ability check thing that nobody seems to use anymore.

Delaying, and effects that end on your enemy's turn

I believe every instance of ongoing damage is (save ends). In fact, the condition kind of doesn't make sense otherwise.

Yes, I can see where you are coming from, however some of your premises are flawed and unreasonable, the rules only really allow for one valid interpretation. I apologize for the inconvenience, but your interpretation is fairly clearly less probable than ours. All this being said, I don't think...

Artoomis, to believe that holy ardor is not an attack roll is just... unreasonable. So you are implying that WOTC created an entirely new mechanic for hitting things and explained it completely by omitting the word "can". That is just.... unreasonable.

As long as you aint a human, none of your attack choices have to use an implement.

Unfortunately, this is one of those times where I disagree with Sir Draco here. Take a race that has a bonus to int, then boost int to 16 with point buy stuff . that's the easy part. I would say that the Artificer is the hardest leader to play. I don't think that they are at all underpowered...

No removing the wiggle room would be if they added the phrase: "and this attack automatically hits." The fact that it doesn't say that results in quite a bit of wiggle room, as the last 21 pages of this thread would show.

Well, one is that he needs to prove anything. He's said that he thinks both rulings are reasonable. He just thinks his is more probable.

I don't really want to harp at you about everything, but "They could have worded it differently." is not the best argument in the world.

I'm curious why the new mechanic of doubles is even of worthwhile mention to you Artoomis. You've referenced it several times as if it meant something, proved something, or served as supporting evidence for your argument. Why should the mechanic of rolling doubles be treated as any different...

The decision to rule that precision doesn't apply because there are two attack rolls, if taken to it's logical conclusion would mean avengers can crit on whatever they want.

Hey Logan Bonner or Mike Mearls, how to handle free actions after charge?

And that would be based on nothing but your opinion of "what explanation could make sense". I meant common sense in the fact that they say NOTHING about triggered actions taking less time than non-triggered actions. Same logic applied to a different area. Given info:I have a bicycle and a...

Hey Logan Bonner or Mike Mearls, how to handle free actions after charge?

This is my problem: According to common sense, triggered actions shouldn't take any less amount of time then their non-triggered counterparts. So why should a triggered free action make sense, but nature's wrath at the same time in the same situation (after a charge) cannot work because it's...

Wow that's an awful way to argue. Why in any way would the simpler interpretation be more reasonable, correct, or better in any way. Yeah, and using someone's name as an adjective is totally civil...

    Multiple attacks question

If a feature describes something that happens on "your next attacks until the end of your next turn" (or something like that) and you use something like twin strike or storm of blows that specifically say that you do two or more attacks, does the feature apply to both? And if so wouldn't a...

    Avenger, the headache class?

I feel like the avenger, and to a lesser extent the rogue, have to work much harder to get their damage than other strikers. Rangers have it the easiest, just point and shoot. I feel like this should be compensated with a significantly higher damage when their requirements are met. This seems...
