That was my theory too, Joe. Might as well make the most of the avenues that the medium opens for us. And Crothian, I spoke up myself, no worries. :) I think you are best off acting exactly as you have regarding soliciting material. But I will note that James at RPGnow is thinking of setting...

Call it one product. I am selling it peice by peice for those interested in only the bits, and sending the collation to anyone that buys the whole thing. So one product is the best assessment. Regards, Evan

Good rant on the news page

My grandmas are both long dead, but you weren't to know. My own comments are received back with the same humour with which they were sent. (wow, boomerang comments! irony everywhere!) And snide away? The snide is gone, if ever it was here. If posting a joke, I aim to receive a joke on me with...

Hi Crothian! I'm one of the people that spammed you with stuff this last month. Well, I can be a test case, if you like. My product has not been reviewed as yet, (not more than the short reviews you get on rpgnow, that is, for which I am very thankful regardless) and I will be happy to let you...

Sales data for Ancient Awakenings Publications (I promised...)

settings This is an untested theory, but looking at the settings that have worked, it seems to me that they are either based on an already existant licence (slayers d20 etc), or are heavily marketed and supported. Hard for a small publisher to manage.

Sales data for Ancient Awakenings Publications (I promised...)

Thanks Thanks for posting this John. I have actually been following John's story avidly, and based my business model on information in no small part obtained through reading his posts. I have since entered the market some months after him, and am happy to report I have done so while remaining...

Good rant on the news page

Appreciation I think it best if I merely state the facts. As a new pdf only publisher based in Sydney, Australia, I am almost entirely reliant upon sites like enworld to get the message out about what I am doing. The stats I look at on RPGnow indicate that fully 25% of the sales I have had so...

Unlikely Hereoes: The Professional in focus

If an Expert doesn't cut the mustard, call in a Professional. There are many occupations that need a skilled hand, a keen eye, and a quick mind. The middle classes of the world are made up of experts with varying degrees of skill, plying their trade and earning an honest living. Some skills are...

(Small publishers collaboration) d20 Future setting? (UPDATE 8-21-04)

I'll toss my hat in the ring. And in terms of tech level / crunchyness, there are lots of options, and this should be a brainstorming item for the people that are interested, I would guess. An idea: the old amalgum of "a long time ago" with some lost tech remnants and some new tech in...

Unlikely Heroes: The Noble in focus

Aristocrat, Advanced! There are dangers in the courts, as much as there are dangers in the life of an adventurer. But few that have the opportunity to choose a life of luxury would instead choose to put their lives on the line. The higher classes have many advantages over the poor and middle...
