    Skill Challenges that KILL

You can check out my sig. Do your PC's have teleportation/escape spells planned. In real life we know how long some people need to prepare for dare-devil stunts. Skill Challenge, Combat, or not an unknown situation can have all kinds of pitfalls. Even some worse than death. How creative...

How do you envision the game?

Since you want a personal opinion. I take the more realist side of it. I know it's a game with rules, people, and certain boundaries. I have posed the question if it could underscore your imagination. Individuals have told me it's fun. I can not vouch for everyone nor try to place one idea...

I solemnly swear I am up to no good

"It can't be all things to all people" So be prepared to be dissapointed and enjoyed at a new movie. In order to like all of it or none of it you'd have to be pretty weird imo.

    Whining & Complaining

There's always some guy sitting in my seat...oh nevermind. I'm fortunate to have groups cool enough to play. The personality has to be the hardest part of a social game like this. Though I am accepting the situations with eyes wide open.

    Could Wolverine kill Superman?

It doesn't help people when you omit important information. Who is in command of the ship? Is the battle lop-sided? Did Superman let Wolverine win? You can get some kind of guess on the victory yet without more data by the original poster. It's close to hearsay.

    Bladesinger Preview!

The character was killed in the first few posts. My first thought was a Swordmage too. In fact why can't another version of Swordmage have these abilities? Oh well, back to the number crunchers.

What are the best classes for each role in 4th edition?

None of the above. What's wrong with a fictional character? The question is can you get back into the game at this time? The story has already been thought out in advance so it must be passable. I know this borderlines or is Godmodding.

    New Content or Better Content?

I don't have as many posts here. Are you going to devalue my opinion? It's an unprepared/prepared numbers game. There's several aspects and ideas about gaming that we've talked about already. A new character might not impress a veteran like me. I'm simply gaining a rook or gaining a...

    Some of your favorite games

You said some so I'll post. Chess MTG DnD Halo Series Call of Duty GE Brawl Mario's All the good ones basically. It depends how challenging/fun they can get.

    Fiction's Upper Limit in a 3D world.

I posted this awhile ago. In my studies I have come to my own conclusion's how situations apply in our fantasy here. I haven't come across this elsewhere as far as I know. This is a basic thematic insight into certain aspects of fiction. I'm basically turning in my application to help DnD...

What if feats had no direction combat application?

I'm pretty sure someone might have stated this here, but there's plenty of ways to make a game fun with open-ended aspects like this. It's all in the numbers really. You could give up a feat for 6 HP, but in the end Toughness is what you'd use. To balance out the game it's about exchanging...

    Is this unfair?

This is already answered in the basic DM advice section. Try to make the game fun. I've only play-tested only one campaign of my own, I enjoyed it so they did. One idea is to model the adventure after one you really enjoyed. On the other hand DnD could be considered game lacking complexity...

    Underscore

Thanks for all the imput. I'm trying to find a reason to stick with the game. I'm testing to see if RPG's like this are overlearned. You can count on me to let the truth destroy fiction and maybe gaming. Nah, my insight isn't that important. ;)

    It's the little things

Here I go letting balance and truth ruin the story. When you maintain a balance I'll quote that you can challenge something indefinitely. Whenever the heroes or villians procure some magic item it tends to tip the balance to one side. The less powerful you make your characters, the more...

    Tension in combat

It looks like you're hard-core and take the game to the extreme.

The Best Class/Build for My Party's Leader?

What all campaigns need is a leader and a command structure. Or one or two experienced players with a proven winning record on hard missions. If it's up to the DM to remember stuff like combat advantage and saving effects. It should be up the the player leader to remember similiar effects...

    Underscore

How do you know when a game is under you? Here we go. When you can enhance the game at your table outside the original author's intent. I know there are higher levels and you can personally make the game harder. Isn't that the time to create your own? Sure beats sifting through hundreds of...

    Monster Damage

I did have a RL discussion of this. The hard part about designing a game is finding a dynamic balance. I have a feeling there's nothing we can do that won't alienate someone. Wanting a perfect gaming session is wishful thinking. Yet I can imagine some other problems with the game. I will...

Player challenging DM authority and competative

Unless you have something huge at stake then I don't know why that's so important? Everyone has a certain level of maturity. I don't think one DnD game is going to break your gaming career. In Chess and Magic and in other games half the people who compete don't win any material. They might...

Defenses and To Hits for Your Party ~ Averages

I don't want to sift through the thousands of posts like an anti-trust case. I don't play often enough and don't make anything off playing. That's my personal problem with it. I gave DnD a try and I guess it didn't work out. I heard 4.0 is neutered compared to the others. I'm not losing the...
