Possibly trying Savage Worlds: Deadlands or other Settings

Savage Worlds Deluxe may have collected some of those together, but on the whole the bits and pieces stay in their respective setting book.

Possibly trying Savage Worlds: Deadlands or other Settings

Started up a Solomon Kane campaign just yesterday. Most of my group seems excited about it. The rest are willing, so a good start for a group of 7.

Time for WotC to start officially supporting older editions?

We do not need WOTC to support the old editions. The OSR companies are doing just fine as is, and with the internet, and communities out there, if anyone wants to find OS products, that are new, and good, they can. Been buying tons if it myself. All I am interested in is cheap and easy PDF's...

Time for WotC to start officially supporting older editions?

I'd be happy with just PDF's. Not really of the adventures, because I already own them all in print and making PDF copies of them isn't all that hard, at least of the smaller ones. So larger adventure and rule book PDF's would be nice. Especially if offered at the low prices they had them at...

    Implications of Reincarnation...

Yeah, my opening question was asked under the assumption everyone follows the Core Book rules. I did not expect people to be so willing to deviate so much and in such cool sounding ways. So to answer my question in the way I WAS expecting, you would have to use a version of Reincarnate by the...

    (Mongoose) Earthdawn Sale

Tis a shame, my PDF requirement is 50% of retail, and the only core book, as far as I can identify not knowing the RPG, is the GMG. If they had just lowered the other books by about $2.50 I would have bought into this to see what its all about, and if I liked it I would have then ordered from...

Looking for a great sci-fi RPG

The OP asked for the best system to run a sci fi game, not the best of D20. Besides, I prefer True 20 even over Saga, within the D20 family.

Looking for a great sci-fi RPG

Traveller, CORTEX, the D6 system (now available as free PDF's), and a modified Alternity can handle "space soap opera" very well. Savage Worlds has a good supplement that could also handle it very well.

need a city campaign module, recommendations?

Yeah, but unless he is lucky, he will pay at least $200 for it, or if he likes PDF, $60, or if he is OK with POD, what it sells for at drivethrurpg.

need a city campaign module, recommendations?

This is the Green Ronin city I mentioned earlier. If you take a liking to this there is a LOT of other support material for it.

    (Mongoose) Earthdawn Sale

I'm not familiar with the line, so $19.99 for the GMG is the sale price? I would not be confused if I saw an original retail price and then what the sale price is.

Review of the Eclipse Phase RPG - Go fork yourself!

As for Reputation, a lot of people do not seem to understand Rep. Your score gets you into one of 5 RANKINGS, and your ranking determines many things, including the all important "refresh rate", the time that needs to pass before you can reasonably ask for another favor at a GIVEN ranking...

Review of the Eclipse Phase RPG - Go fork yourself!

Now one thing I will say, is it was a constant challenge to really understand what it is like to truly live in such a setting. To understand the implications of the fabricators, the sleeves, everything. So be prepared to have your mind bent in new ways. You'll probably do a bit of back tracking...

Review of the Eclipse Phase RPG - Go fork yourself!

Been a fan of Eclipse Phase for over a year now. Even played in a Friday game for about 5 months. The system isn't perfect, but with some looking you will find some solid house rules to shore up your game with. Which isn't really needed early on, only after your characters start getting their...

need a city campaign module, recommendations?

I'm totally on board with S'mon's recommendations, but there is also the 4E Punjar modules by Goodman Games, 3E Lost City of Barakus and Bard's Gate by Necromancer Games, the there are the Scarred Lands cities of Hollowfaust and Mithril by White Wolf Publishing that are darn good. There are...

    Implications of Reincarnation...

Interesting. I am so used to seeing people be so "by the book" its refreshing to see that gamers will still look at something and say "I don't like how they did that." and do their own thing. Awesome! For those of you who did variant types of reincarnation, such as the two different spells and...
