Anyone pick up the 3.5 reprints?

I would guess WOTC has this info, but I do not go to their website/forums.

Vorpal and Sharpness and Fumble rules...

Yep, the accuracy of fumble systems is just as "realistic" as any fire breathing dragon the size of a house or five. Just to be clear, I am not saying anyone else must use fumble rules, I am just saying why I do. No requirement to agree, let alone like it. I also allow for Raise Dead...

Vorpal and Sharpness and Fumble rules...

Nope. Seen too many "experts" still screw up, royally, in real life, to believe such a rule is anything close to being "realistic", even in a fantasy setting. Add the fact that combat is a highly chaotic and high stress environment, I don't care how good you are, your still going to fumble...

Still looking for a 6th player. Next session is this evening.

    AD&D H1-H4 Bloodstone Adventures: Advice?

All I can say is, your players better be good at thinking "outside the box" or they are going to die, or worse. Paladins and like minded Clerics are pretty much screwed once you go into the Abyss. Still, it was tons of fun, and well worth running. Sorry I can't give you more than that, but I...

Vorpal and Sharpness and Fumble rules...

I personally have the Fumble rules kill or remove limbs from the PC to encourage the PC's to only use such weapons as rarely as possible. It has always worked, so I have always been happy with it. Far better than having them cutting off limbs on a 17 or better with no danger to themselves all...

Vorpal and Sharpness and Fumble rules...

So how many of you have allowed Vorpal and Sharpness weapons to be obtained in your games AND had fumble rules that allowed for PC's to cut off their own body parts? All I can remember is DM's who had it where if you fumbled, you cut off your head (Vorpal) or random body part (Sharpness)...

AD&D 1E Is anybody playing 1e with the reprints?

I have the reprints, but use my originals. Since I bought the reprints to give me usable copies for the next 30+ years seems silly to start wearing them out any sooner than I have to.

Anyone pick up the 3.5 reprints?

I'm thinking of picking up a copy of the PH, but thats it. Still not sure I am going to do that either. I have plenty of copies (4) already, and the errata was not so egregious as to really need to pick this up because of it. If I was confident that I would ever play or run 3E again, I would...

Here is a brief review of my opinion on Aces and Eights and some early play logs of my last campaign: http://www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discussion/278930-aces-eights-great.html

Aces and Eights Roll20 (US-Pacific time) on Thursdays.

I am running a game on Thursdays, 6 PM Pacific, 9 PM Eastern, running for about 3 hours each time. I use the "alternate reality" as outlined in the Aces and Eights rule book. Why? People cheat. They use Google, etc... to look up where the gold, silver, etc... was found, or where Cochise's hide...

    Aces and Eights is great!

I thought so to, it didn't turn out that way. To be clear, I do not "hate" Hackmaster. I like it better than say 3E or 4E D&D, but for what I like in my fantasy gaming, I'd rather run/play Castles and Crusades, Swords and Wizardry Complete, Dark Dungeons or the originals that they are clones...

    Aces and Eights is great!

Heh, never saw your post until now, because I couldn't find my daughters artwork on my computer, and I am now running a new campaign on line. So came here looking for it via Google. So have you done a cattle drive yet?

Yeah, we can use a new player, sorry I took so long to look at this thread. We play tonight, in about 2 hours from now, so if you spot this in time start up SKYPE and send me a friend request at treebore.therubylord, and we can get you started.

    Why do we need Mechs?

You may have contra gravity, but the tech may not be small enough yet, especially to allow you to fly AND deal with recoil as well as deal with the kinetic energy of hits from the weapons of others. Going from a proto type, that may very well be the size of a building or three, due to energy...

Castles & Crusades Town of Kalas by Paul Kidd

So what is the ETA on this? I could actually use this right now, since I am running the Slavelords modules. I could use this as one of the several sea side towns they may end up in.
