this also looks like theyre sending in Synths to face the Xenomorphs rather than 'normal folk', so this show is likely to be a very different experience to the movies - and indeed it looks more like the Resident Evil movie to me than classic Aliens.
Thats not a bad thing however
Krull is notable as an early example of Swords and Lasers (Sci-Fantasy) mixing classic fantasy hero tropes with alien invasion. Its lead characters were forgetable with the most memorable being the tragic Cyclopes, then there was the boomerang Glaive and um - a giant spider?
but yeah the late...
Mentions on EN World and easy to find Youtube videos :)
When a product has wide recognition via social media that generally means theres a good fanbase, broader interest and a chance it might be interesting.
There is already a Tales of Gor RPG and Deathstalker slides down the same slope of gonzo fetish gaming.
Generally though Deathstalker is doable in standard DnD, its just Conanesque Sword and Sandals with more slavery and misogyny.
Have a dinner/party in which each player presents their own epilogue on how their characters has been affected and goes on in the world. Then give out achievement ribbons and a toast
Susan is Galifreyan and she is related to the Doctor, but she might not be a Timelord (the subject has never been officially addressed). Now how the Doctor and Susan are related is a point of debate
she might be an actual granddaughter (the rest of the Doctors family are/were deceased)
she...
. The otyugh entry in A Practical Guide to Monsters notes that they are 8 feet tall - which puts their height within the limits of Medium sized, its their 500lb bulk that pushes them to large, but maybe a smaller juvenile form would work :)
Otyugh in Armour :P
Actually, this has reminded me that Otyugh are already a telepathic species and at least semi-intelligent (Int 6). So why do all PC options have to be humanoid? Why cant we have a three legged bulk with a pair of tentacles and an eyestalk?
The Trash Heap has spoken naaagh!
I'm here too,
still listening for the alert bell and the response that it foretells, as my excitement swells and the game again compels us to return to Fitz's game, pushing through both ice and flame, for the sake of joy and fame...
I agree that having a couple of cameos and no pay off is naff so I'm really hoping that Susan plays a bigger role next season with Billy Piper. Thats one reason why I'm hoping that Anita mentioning that her boss said hello is a reference to Susan - and the Time Hotel might show up again.
and...
I could see something like the Dolgaunt as a PC option - humanoid but grotesque, with sleek grey skin stretched too tightly over elongated limbs. Its humanoid arms joined by a coiling pair of long, boneless tentacles. Where eyes and a nose should be, there are only sunken folds of skin, its...
1 Poppy was the daughter of John Smith and Belinda due to Conrads wish
2 After Wish World Belinda told the Doctor she would stay with her daughter Poppy because Poppy was real
3 After Poppy disappeared Belinda asked the Doctor to get her back
4 The Doctor gets her back and at the end Belinda...
Could Rose be the Tardis itself manifesting rather than the 'New Doctor'?
iirc Rose was the last person to hold the Power of the Tardis inside herself, maybe the Doctor pushing regeneration energy via the Heart of the Tardis gave it the boost to generate itself
Its not a trilogy but the third book Les Enfants du Capitaine Grant (In Search of the Castaways) is linked by having shared characters with Mysterious Island. Some people thus consider them a set
Is that Billie Piper?
I did enjoy this finale, it explained things satisfactorily including the Bone beast.
I didnt like the giant skeleton design of Omega, was hoping theyd give a nod to his old armoured form.
Good to see Anita back and the companions teaming up. Really want to know who her...
Yeah, I didnt like that part either, it did diminish Nemos role as genius science hero
In the show Nemo is credited with designing the engines, but its built by 'the Company' (via prison labour) using iirc a french design.
