I'm in the rare breed too I guess. Maybe we should form a guild ;)

    FRINGE #2:Night of Desirable Objects/Season 2/09

Not sure what's being implied that there seems to be a pattern emerging with weird shows having episodes about mutant children set in Pennsylvania....

    Living Forgotten Realms

I think that's always been a problem, at least it was back in the LG and LC days anyway. I would think that this would be relieved somewhat by the replay option however.

    Living Forgotten Realms

Wow...thanks for all the great input. Guess I hadn't considered that replaying a mod I ran would allow for focus on the character. Getting to see another DM's style with the same mod could also be pretty enlightening and I can always learn something. Overall this is now really making me want...

    Living Forgotten Realms

Thanks for the explanaiton MrMyth. Back in my LG days I did eat a lot of modules. I'm quite surprised that they allow replay, but I can see how some people might like it. I'm not sure if I could have fun playing through a module I already DM'ed though...

    Living Forgotten Realms

Ok...I looked over the stuff on the site, and the character generation info, but don't remember seeing anything about a Replay rule or My Realm events...can you fill me in on what these are? and thanks for all the other replies. Sounds like things are about the same to a bit better than the LG...

    Worldwide D&D Game Day - Sep 19 2009

I hope so too. I'm talking to the manager about maybe doing a Living Forgotten Realms event there once a month. Would be cool if the girls and mom came back for that.

    Watchmen, Dresden, and Carnivale

Ahh...didn't know about the Big Reveal. Did he confirm it? I think he's just damned slow as a writer. That's his speed and nothing to do about it. From listining to his comments spread through his short story collections, he does have serious ADD though;) He had MANY projects that he never...

    Living Forgotten Realms

So, after playing in the Game day I got a bit of an itch to maybe get into the Living Forgotten Realms. I have played in Living Greyhawk (LG), and Living City before that, so I am familiar with how it all works. What I would like to know is, from people who have been involved thus far: What do...

    Paying for Game Day

Well....whatever works for you in your area I guess. I know in my area this would never fly. I know If the event I had attended had said that was the requirement I would have walked out, went across town, and bought the DMG2 and Reveng of the Giants there, just on principle. YMMV.

    Worldwide D&D Game Day - Sep 19 2009

I went to our game day at the Local Barnes and Nobles. We ended up with two tables, one of which ended up with me running three ten year old girls and the mom of one of the girls, and one of my buddies. The mom and girls were all complete newbies. One of them had read some of the quickstart...

    Paying for Game Day

I got to DM one table at the event held at our local Barns and Noble and, as mentioned by everyone else, no charge. It was cool. I got to run a table of complete newbies, specifically three ten year old girls and a 40+ mom. They very much enjoyed making the adventure for the other table (and...

    Watchmen, Dresden, and Carnivale

OK...I can understand where you say we may never see the TV series (and agree that it's gonna take a miracle to pull off), but what makes you say we will never see the next novel?

Fringe #1:A New Day in the Old Town/Season 2/09

Did you catch that, in the scene where the shape-shifter is stealing the first guys face, the x-files is playing on the TV? On the nurse body: it would also have the holes in the roof of the mouth... From some of the preview snips, I'm wondering if maybe they DO figure it out, not let on, and...

Yeah, the archangel (what is his name anyway?) stated that they put the vision in Chuck's head in order to lead Dean and Sam into an ambush.

    Supernatural : New Season

I hear they Upped the Actor who is playing Cas to a regular, which I think is great. Loved the episode. The "number one fan" was great. Sam to fan who is rubbing his chest: "um...can you stop touching me?" Her, as she continues to rub his chest: "...no..." The dynamic between Sam and Dean...

    Midnight Chronicles - any good?

managed to dig up a copy. Not bad. I actually liked it a lot. As a pilot for a TV series it's pretty good. Acting wasn't too bad, most of the characters were interesting, and the makeup on the orcs was good. Only problem IMO, is too many characters, not enough focus. Production quality was...
