I found Eric's news site right after I heard about 3rd coming out. I remember all the same threads about how D&D is going to die/ how could they do xxx/ I'll never switch, ect, that we are seeing now. It's too funny really. I never thought that gaming news would be like the soaps: the same story...

One of the most memorable scenes/lines in ANY book I have ever read is in the Wheel of Time series. "Kneel, or you will be knelt!" That whole battle was the highlight of the series. Regardless of what people's opinions of his works are, he will be missed.

I guess my problem is that I watch very little TV, maybe 2-3 hours a week at most. So it's kind of an investment for me to actually sit down and watch something. Because of that investment, it really irritates me when they don't let a show have a chance. Guess I'll just have another hour a week...

I getting really sick of sciFi....at this point I really don't think they have much to offer me after BG finishes up. Even if they do come up with a show that looks good, it's disappointing to get interested and have them yank it after the first season.....

Gotta agree with the Mouse...those three were my favorites, along with Veer. I always thought that was one of the things that separated B5 from other scifi shows: The alien characters were VERY important, and some of the best characters, and there were ALOT of them, not just the token alien...

I'm pretty sure, for the reasons mentioned above, that this isn't really a playtest in the true sense. Yes, If someone finds a truly horrific error, that'll get changed, but not much else. I think that this "Playtest" is really just a way to generate more buzz and excitement in the gaming...

As the saying goes, Quoted for Truth. This is exactly what I see happening as well, as it makes the most business sense for Hasbro. I'm not necessarily upset about it happening, but I agree that it WILL happen in time.
