To add to that one: Sir Valorous the Formidable: A PC with a point-buy value at least twice that of the party nerfbag.

    Eric Noah's Info

Eww. How about I don't check out Dragon 346 and we never speak of this horror again, lest we summon the minions of an unfathomable horror buried deep beneath our oceans.

Rules Never Prevent RPing? (But Minis Seem To Do So?)

Those are beautiful. I generally give that benefit out for free once without requiring a feat. You can have one archenemy and one love interest that give you these benefits (for a really interesting scenario, make them the same person). If you want more than one love interest, that's fine of...

Would you mind separating out the MP costs for the last two rituals, A New World and A New Plane?

    From Stone to Steel. WOW!!!!!

I love the Fencing skill, as well as the way FSTS handles weapon breakage. Ever since Nyaricus made me aware of it, I've been in love with the book. :D

    How did you start?

Chainmail, followed by 1E when they were satisfied I wouldn't muss up their group dynamic.

What checks do you as DM make for the PCs?

Appraise and Sense Motive. Occasionally a Will save against a mind-affecting spell, followed by a secret note. I like to roll dice and pass out red herring secret notes occasionlly, just to keep the paranoia high.

    I Won!

Woohoo! One of these days maybe I'll win something, and then a few weeks later I'll look in my bookshelf and not spot it amongst all the other books there. :p

    Wound / vitality system pros

In the context of the campaign I was running at the time (Starship Troopers), it was a very good thing. I didn't want unarmoured PCs to be gallivanting about like elven swashbucklers and expecting to survive getting hit by bullets, getting chopped by vibro-weapons, and being chewed on by alien...

    Cleaner, Faster Crafting Rules

You shameless attention whore you. Of course you have to realize I'm kidding. I'm guilty of the same thing on numerous occasions, though I try to disguise is as an "update" bump. :heh:

Goodman Games joins the high-priced market...

I don't think the intent is for the PCs to be absolute xenophobes, killing every peasant trying to till the fields. Now, the NPCs that appear in the dungeon crawls themselves? Fair game :]

    Eric Noah's Info

I'm assuming you're referring to the 3d6/4d6 rolls for characters... Random ability scores are a staple of D&D. How is this "already starting" if it's been a part of the system for so long? Even diaglo uses randomly generated ability scores.

Rules Never Prevent RPing? (But Minis Seem To Do So?)

Sounds about right to me. I'm one of those exceptions, I suppose. I love role-playing, but I grew into D&D with wargaming grognards. I'm used to using a combat mat and minis. I do think many things in D&D (like spell area of effect) make a combat mat a good addition to the game, in order to...

Worldwide Europe - Are People Doing This?

I think the viewpoint that a D&D medieval kingdom should be as isolationist and elitist as its real-world counterpart doesn't work with all the stuff that D&D adds in. But, I'm not sure if this helps validify cultural integration of monks, or just gets people to not give funny looks to the...

    Meloncov's Sci-Fi Illustrations

I think I like the old one better. This one makes black edges appear on stuff, and it looks just like the matte lines on old sci-fi movies. The details also look a little more like something I would render, and I've been impressed by how beautiful your texturing has been so far in all your images.
