Are high attributes more fun then low attributes?

It has been said that we are all bound by our experiences. They are the limits of our consciousness. An adventurer with no past is like a newborn babe, lacking the experiences necessary to survive without constant care and assistance. If the backstory is more elaborate than a sentence or two...

    Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 16

Now that the Artificer has gone there's only one class left to get rid of before I have to bow out and become a spectator. Stabbity death on Duskblade! You were the class that sounded cool and failed to deliver!

    On the threadjohn? :heh:

    Fey from other cultures

I'll dispute. Fay, meaning a faerie, appears to come from old French fae or faie, from Latin fata 'the Fates', plural of fatum. That's still listed in all the dictionaries I own that show the etymology of their words. It would appear there is indeed some academic dispute to your claim, if...

    Who's your Gandalf now, baby?

Randomly is fine. Maybe the Gandalf-like figure of the setting likes to travel, and runs into the PCs in unexpected places as a result? It's when he always shows up at just the right "convenient" moments (giving the PCs a clue right after they find the puzzle, saving the PCs from a tough...

    Is thread-crapping really necessary here?

    Fey from other cultures

I don't know where it was, BOZ, but I'm digging fusangite's definition of fay. I don't really think of most of the spirits from Japanese folklore as being fay, but their nature is definitely a fey one. (If I'm confusing you, look up fay and fey in a good dictionary.) Oriental Adventures has...

    New GM, SWd6, one-shots

Hmm, nope. Didn't get my attention. :uhoh: d6 Star Wars sounds like something I want to use more and more every time I hear about it. Sorry it didn't work out so well for you. Sounds like there's a good GM in the making, though.

    Happy Birthday Kirinke

Oooh, Kirinke had a birthday! Congrats! :D Edit: Hmm, I think that's the first time I've tried to fire off two legitimate posts with less than 30 seconds in between them. Am I turning into another Crothian, or was it just a one-time occurrence?

    Who's your Gandalf now, baby?

It's very important to avoid making them a DMPC. The aasimar I mentioned is crucial to the plot of the Age of Elements series, but in much the same way as Gandalf, Belgarath, and many other such powerful wizardly types. He isn't the one who goes out and does all the amazing stuff, he's just...

Attack of Opportunity -- does it deserve to survive to v.4?

QFT. I can't count the horrendously high number of times a readied action has gone wasted while I was sitting at the gaming table.

Are high attributes more fun then low attributes?

One or two low stats can be a good roleplaying opportunity. High stats are generally better than low stats, though. It's Dungeons & Dragons, not Fields & Farmers.
