    Pathfinder 1E Paizo Annoucement!

Which is their right, should they choose. I imagine we will eventually see 4e material from them.

Still plenty of time for changes. Playtesting has just begun....

Raise Dead: A nice big bone to the simulationists

As with so many of the so-called problems with v3.5, I've run into none of the supposed difficulties with raise dead in my games. Not every stableboy or barmaid who gets run through is automatically raised at the temple turnstile. I do like this idea, though. I think I will implement it in my...

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo Annoucement!

Thanks! If she's only barely covered, that's still ok, right?

Raise Dead: A nice big bone to the simulationists

Interesting. But how does this change the use of raise dead in a practical sense?

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo Annoucement!

Wow. I just had a flash of insight. Enlightenment. For a moment after reading this post, I knew what it was like to be a pro-4e fanboy confronted by a 3.5e "hater." :D

    Rodney Thompson: Non-Combat Encounters

This must be one of the reasons why Cinematic Unisystem appeals to both of us so much. Player: "Ahhh! I've got to get away from these zombies! Is there a sewer nearby?" Me: "Spend a drama point and there is!" Player: "Ok, spent. I crawl down the manhole and pull the cover behind me...

In your opinion, what are the books that broke 3rd edition?

Where were you classicists when the poor dryad was being roughed up?

Warlord Player's job is to tell other players what to do??

And what do you call the player who ignores such a bonus after the warlord has gone out of his way to use one of his precious powers in order to set up such a situation? I have a pretty good idea what the player of the warlord would call him....

    Goblin Picador

Welcome to ENWorld! I love it here, and I hope you do, too. There are some amazingly creative and kind folks here. So, how much criticism of D&D 4th edition can a poster make before he or she begins to infringe on your peace?

    Which is also quite silly.

    DDXP characters - unexpected tactics?

Hmm. I'm not totally convinced by this reasoning. I worked for a large corporation--one that is larger that Wizards of the Coast, I'm sure--and they weren't paralyzed by bureaucracy when it came to errata. Perhaps WotC is, but I don't think that would excuse them in this instance. I would...

    DDXP characters - unexpected tactics?

Again, a massed email with a corrected attachment would have fixed this problem in minutes.

    DDXP characters - unexpected tactics?

I'm not spreading innuendo, so I don't appreciate your innuendo. :p I'm genuinely puzzled.

    DDXP characters - unexpected tactics?

The character sheets were "in production"? Aren't they just PDF documents? It isn't like they sent the handouts off to a professional printer, right? Even if they did send everything off to a professional printer and the deadline for changes had passed, they could have easily send out an...

Why Not Just Call Them Stamina Points?

Sidewinder, the d20 western game, uses the term "grit points," and I think this is a brilliant change. It perfectly captures the feel of the wild west and the ability for heroes to suck it up and keep fighting. I'm tempted to adopt this terminology in my D&D games.
