    Good assassins?

Can you say 'The Punisher'? Even 'Hitman' kills for money, but won't take a contract on a non-criminal, and turned down a pact with demons.

Credit cards and Debit cards question

It's simple, really. Forging my (or any) signature is easy, and a pointless form of 'security'. Forging a State issued drivers license (from most States) is so difficult as to deter all but the most sophisticated, dedicated con artist. And having left behind ten years of my life in retail...

[OT] How many in a gross?

So, are you getting the whistling dice, or the regular ones? :)

Piratecat at GenCon: EN World pickup games, sign up now!

Running Ghostwalk game... Wow, please let me know what you think of G, I'm very interested in this. (and the table-dance, but I can't post that. shhhh!)

    Should adventurers be "better"?

Those who "make the most of what they have" obviously have a high Wis, or maybe Cha. Some force of personality that drove them to excel despite lack of brains or brawn. There is always some "strength" to explain individuals who break the mold.

What is a character with a 6 INT, 6 CHA, and 8 WIS like?

WHAT? A low Int, Wis, and Cha? A thug. Socially misanthropic. Personally repugnant. And not even smart enough to be a criminal, unless directed meticulously by someone else. And with his/her 'brains' and personality, likely to screw up anyway. Really.

Do these Riddles work? MY PLAYERS STAY OUT!

IMHO, #1 was fine the first time. I got "lies" out of it. :)

Right now, the rain is falling.

Call me crazy... Maybe the Druid is like me, and loves the rain. He has lost his marbles a wee bit, and makes it rain because he likes it. :) His...mental issues have made him forget the environmental impact this is having, or just made him forget to 'turn off the water on his way out'...

Are there any animals with a long life span?

Several species of birds live in the 40 -60 year range.

    [OT] It's too damn hot!

If I lived somewhere that never got above 80 (max), and ususally had summers around 75 with a stiff breeze, I'd be happy. Always been a Fall/Winter kid myself. It's why I only spent two years in California before running back to the Northeast. :)

    Avoid this vendor!

Anyone else want to comment about how out of line the original post was? Nah, I doubt it. I appreciate the heads up on this company, I can live without the stress of having ordered something and not getting it after losing my money. Been there, done that, would rather be warned off. FWIW...

1 min per level spells and why they suck

Let me add a short "TESTIFY MARK!" to all this, he's done a good job of speaking what I feel.

Ghostwalk: Are you going to buy it?

Yes. At least out of curiosity for the concept.

1 min per level spells and why they suck

Two points: 1) Assuming true balance in game design; will point buy levels be increased (i.e. more points = same power-level) to account for the fact that players will have less options to long-term buff their stats? (huh PC? huh? Huh?) 2) I don't feel that the 'rush-to-the-next-room' types...

So, if a dragon swallows someone carrying a lot of potions....

Incorrect sir: Acid is commonly used to etch glass as a matter of fact. A weak acid won't dissolve glass (in a reasonable time-frame). But there is a reason you don't see bottles of, say, hydrogen flouride sitting around your chemistry classroom. And if there is a stronger acid than...
