Whats yoinkable from Warhammer for DnD?

For WHFRP in 3.5, I would limit the players to the NPC classes to start. It would keep the power level down, and keep more in the feel of the starting proffesions of Warhammer. I might introduce a sanity system as well, depending exactly how dark I want to make the setting (I'm usually on the...

    Instead of a Screen...

An idea I've been thinking of doing is keeping a small table next to my chair for notes and dice rolls with a screen up to block the view of players, and then I have easy reach and sight of the main table for the combat and such. It requires a little more space, but I think it will help. I'm...

Should I let my players kill each other?

Roleplaying should not be an excuse for something that makes the game less fun. Thats not to say that good roleplaying shouldn't lead your character to make some poor decisions, but if its affecting the fun for the rest of the players, then maybe it should be toned down.

    DMG Adventure and Final Fight

My group didn't seem to have too much trouble, although they took an extended rest before the fight, so that might have a lot to do with it. They were using the KotS characters.

Why not make the rapier military?

I'm guessing they made rapiers superior with the rogue in mind. A rogue can sneak attack with 3d8 if it has a rapier and backstabber.

    WOTC podcasts

Also, it was a one shot adventure with 1 new player, 1 player who hadn't played in a long time, and 1 experienced player, if I've heard correctly, trying out a system that hadn't hit shelves yet. So I think the GM's were a little nicer to help make a longer lasting podcast, and it also let them...

PC concepts I'd love to play...

I've always wanted to play a Techpriest of Gond, but either I was the one running FR, or the game wasn't suited for a character interested in crafting stuff. I did get to play a dwarven cleric who focused on Weapon and Armour smithing, and made some pretty cool stuff, but unfortunatly he died.

What PC races are in your 4E group!

I'm running a Lovecraftian setting where Dragonborn were born to humans, but began changing at puberty, and were seen as a good omen from the gods. Tieflings were also born to humans and changed at puberty, but now look more Lovecraftian (Tentacles instead of hair and a slight greenish hint to...

Out of Print games You Miss...

Brave New World. I wasn't a huge fan of the system, but I really liked the setting, and wish there could be some more sourcebooks to tie things up a little better.
