No problem, glad to help :D I had the misfortune of having to catch that train for the first Game Day last fall. I was pretty incoherent by the time I left at midnight. Had a blast though, so I keep coming back...

The Metro actually opens at 7am on Saturdays and Sundays and it's a little over an hour to College Park from West Falls Church (which is my home metro station) I may not be riding in that morning though, I'll have to see if The Universe and Queen D are willing to put me up for the night again...

Sometimes you just need new blood and to give younger players their shot. Lotsa talented women coming up through the college ranks, these days. Hell, the Red Sox only won the WS after cutting Nomar, who was often thought of as a fixture on that team. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. :)

I won't be here the weekend of the 23-25, as I'll be in New England. It's Nico's little sister's birthday and I have to make an appearance. :-p

I've only played organized crime campaigns in Shadowrun, but I've had a lot of fun with it. I'm not sure you really need any additional rules, the Modern archetypes work fine and they just have allegiances to the mafia. Depending how you want to play it, a decent understanding of how the mafia...

You know, some the SR themed ones sound like things my friends have done. :p Great list, though! :D

That's fine, but I've seen a lot more 'Roll instead' than 'Roll Before'. As in, I don't think I've ever seen a well-done 'roll before'. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but IME the die roll tends to be a crutch, not a role-playing element. I'm with Crothian on this one.

Truth. Understanding the strategy and tactics of football or baseball or hockey is half the fun. Go on any sports message board and you'll see players arguing over the decisions made by the players and coaches of their favorite team. Football, with its library of plays that each player must...
