    Game Scheduling for August 26-28

Nico gave me the rundown. She was pretty excited. I think she's hooked now. :) And yes, yes it does.

    Ask me about Shadowrun 4th!

My jealousy knows no bounds. Sounds like it's a good revision if nothing else. Can you explain drain a bit more clearly, I'm not sure I understand the relation of 1-4 boxes of damage to the Force/2 part. I'll also second JustKim's request for more details on decking. :)

    Game Scheduling for August 26-28

That's hilarious. My friends back home have been using computer game boxes (from games that came in real boxes, something that seems to have gone out of style) for that same purpose for years. Someone clearly twigged onto the commercial possibilities of that. :p
  4. AIM-54

    Game Scheduling for August 26-28

I'm available all weekend. Looking forward to it, especially as last session seems to have been a good one. :)

    Is your name unique?

So far as I know, it's pretty unique. It's my creative way of getting to be "Phoenix" while dodging the ubiquitous character of that particular moniker. As well as firmly cementing my 'military nerd' or 'geek' credentials. :p I have never had trouble signing onto a messageboard with it.

For those that drink, what's your poison of choice?

I am a certified beer snob. Beer is my favorite form of alcohol and I am fairly particular about what I prefer to drink. My current favorite is Alderis Porteris from Latvia. Great porter style beer. Hard to get though. Fortunately, living in the DC area I can always go to The...

My house just got buzzed by a fighter craft

Sadly, I used Phoenix based on the AIM-54 as a handle/callsign in flight sims long before I knew the Phoenix legend. :heh:

Experience and Wrap-up for August 6th

Y'all will have to help Nico level up this weekend, 'cause all my stuff is over there, precluding me being able to get her set beforehand. I'm sure it's not a problem, just giving a heads up. :)
  10. AIM-54

    Game Scheduling for August 12-14

It's nico, I do want to play! Especially because I am going to be going home the weekend of Gen-Con. :( I would love to play when I come back ... and there's only two more semesters in boston....

    Game Scheduling for August 12-14

I'll be out that weekend by being in Saskatoon doing moving stuff.

    *

I'm planning to run a Shadowrun 4th Ed game, since by then I will have hopefully had enough time to get my head around the changes. I'd love to play another HARP game, as well, but if something else new (to me) pops up I might give it a shot. Game Days are a great opportunity to try out new...

    Too many RPGs out there?

I hope not, there's nothing I like more than reading and getting into a new system (preferably well-designed :p). That said, time is precious and I have less and less of it for gaming as things progress forcing me to make hard choices about what I spend my time and money on. But I still like...

Yep, we'll both be around. In other news, I have an interview with the Agency that week. :D

    Fighting from horseback

My question was not about FPS/MPH or anything. It was about how does 1x move, 2x move, 3-4x move interact with the chase rule dynamic. I may just lack a full understanding of the chase rule right now (it was just a Ride check, IIRC from the first session to catch up/fall behind on a fail)...

    Fighting from horseback

It's pretty straight-forward, it's just a matter of getting it all straight and remembering to apply it appropriately in combat. One question, though. Using the GT Chase rules, what is the standard move per round? Is it generally considered to be a double move to maintain the pace? Or is it...

    Fighting from horseback

Mounted Combat stuff From Sidewinder, Mounted Combat, pg. 224: Controlling A Mount : The steps necessary to control a mount in combat differ depending on whether the mount is trained for combat (see Handle Animal skill). Trained Mounts : Directing a trained mount to move or perform any other...

    Fighting from horseback

From Sidewinder, under Ride, pg. 92: Sleep in Saddle (DC 10) : With a successful skill check, the character can sleep and remain seated in the saddle. Unless being led by a compadre or following another animal, the mount will likely simply stop moving, or move about randomly. If the Ride...

    Fighting from horseback

Yeah, I'll do that tonight. Give me something to look forward to discussing at work tomorrow. :p
