I've pretty much finished all but the divine. I may go back and use the nomenclature shown in the rogue article later after my group is a little more accustomed to the new edition.
Thanks for the link. I just started using it to make cards for my 4e playtest next week
I am using color for power source
Red= Martial
Blue= Arcane
Gold=Divine
I am also changing the wording where I can so that it reflects the rules instead of the final number. I.E. on the fighter abilities I...
All signs point to no, but you could try the fan made stuff that is lurking around and intended for use with the DDXP characters. Would let your group know if they should wait for 4e or just start up a new 3.5 game
Honestly this is the first I heard about it being over powered or broken other than the run from your enemy tactic which was fixed, but not in time for DDXP
This is my take on it. Grittyness doesn't need to be characters dropping dead just from thinking about fighting a monster. For me gritty is all about the stylistic choices you make when you are creating your setting.
My 4ed setting is going to be a little reminiscent of Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion series. Group of adventurers are going to fall into a quest to find the lost city of Tanelorn (taken directly from Eternal Champion) and ultimately protect it from the otherworldly being which seek to see...
The bard is also rumored to be on tap for the arcane leader class. So not as much Jack of all master of none, but definately keeping with the inspiration.
As a long time Ravenloft player I have to say that it would definately be one of the easiest settings to adapt to 4th ed. As other posteres have pointed out most of the work could be handled by the mists. The one thing that would need to be done is adding in the Horror, Sanity, and Fear checks...
The D&D game I was playing in has been called off due to some player problems (one of the guys is a chronic min maxer who was starting to try and plot out other player's characters) so it looks like all my group will be doing till 4th ed is continue with my Deadlands Reloaded game and...
Just sub Ravenloft in for Greyhawk and you have exactly what I want.... I really think we need a setting which has been built to integrate the new things being introduced in 4th ed, and what better way to do it than find one of the setting search finalists which could best fill that role.
going to run a PoL game set just after a huge holy war/gods war. The first villain will be a death knight memeber of a cabal trying to bring back their god from the far reaches of the far realm(if not available then I will use the feywild)
Just wanted to point out that there was some Greyhawk deity who had paladins with revolvers... can't remember is name... going wiki it
haha found it... Murlynd.
