Anybody have Masterscreen Quad from Citizen Games

Hey. I'm in the market for a great game screen, and the Masterscreen Quad from Citizen Games looks to be it. However, it's a large investment ($25) and I was hoping to find a user testimonial before I shelled out the bucks. Any happy (or unhappy) owners here? Thanks, -Clint

    Master of Orion or Else?

I'll agree with the GalCiv vote. It's a great, complete game. Graphics aren't excessive, but the gameplay is everything I've ever wanted in a 4X game. -Clint

    (Mongoose) Paranoia XP

My very first game was Paranoia. I was eight or nine years old. First session: DM: "PAR-R-OTS shoots SHA-R-PIE in the back and he dies." Me (SHA-R-PIE): "Oh, that sucks!" DM (aside): "No, it's cool. You have five clones. Watch." (to everyone) "SHA-R-PIE's clone pod rockets through the sky. What...

Want to help me run a Spycraft game?

Sounds like a great and epic campaign. Why concern yourself with what they do? It's not like they'll directly impact the play of the game during the first few sessions. I'm a fan of leaving the options flexible, and filling them in as the game progresses. Nothing goes according to plan anyway...

Tome of the Ancients, Vol 1 - Artifacts

John, Monte Cook wrote an excellent short essay that includes thoughts on author/publisher response to reviews. Specifically, his first point and the sidebar. http://www.montecook.com/arch_lineos62.html -Clint

    New Video Card?

I'll second that. I just picked up this card a month ago, and I'm quite happy with it. The 256MB ram is only necessary if you have two monitors, which the card supports. -Clint

    Help Me With My Metaplot

    - Some outcast night elves (elves with a conscience) try to help the party with information on supply lines, items, etc. - A night elf female and a human male run off together to try a life of peace (due to love, religious conversion, etc). Both the humans and the night elves want to hunt them...

    Shadowforce Archer: What to get?

Shoot! Forgot one more thing: if you're interested in Spycraft goodness and not just Shadowforce Archer goodness, then definitely check out Most Wanted, by Paradigm. It's a book of villains/foils, with detailed writeups. Each listed character is given at multiple levels (low/mid/high). Also...

    Shadowforce Archer: What to get?

I'll add my voice to the choir: since you already have Pan-Asian, get the SFA hardcover next. It's an overall great book. Following that, my favorite is African Alliance, which has a Bond feel. If you're not interested in the unfolding story, you can be happy with the books in whatever order is...

Great D&D article in today's Boston Globe!

Hey, Doug. Danger Planet is primarily focused on minis, but they do more than that. They have a wonderful non-mini board game selection (Settlers of Catan and so on), and their RPG section is good, but nowhere near as extensive as Pandemonium. They have all the WotC books that you could want, a...

What are the pros and cons of the different campaign settings?

I know that this thread is about campaign settings, but I'd like to recommend a campaign setting booster: The Book of the Righteous, written by Aaron Loeb and published by Green Ronin. Pros: At first glance, it's a book of gods and their religions, not a setting. But as you read the...

[GR] Holy/Unholy Warrior 3.5 Update Query

I'm one of the players in SnowDog's game. As he said, we love the BotR and the Holy Warrior class. On the rules side of Paladins/HWs/3.5e, I'm with Psion. I like the 3.5 Paladin even less than the 3.0 version, which is not much at all. Avatars for summoning, Holy Warriors for being... holy...

Boston EN World game a great success! Photo on p. 9!

I'll second that. PCat and KidC: you're good people. Thanks very much. Same here! Rich world, intricate story, politics... hard to fit in four hours. :) I'd love to play it again sometime. That had to be the most insane game I've ever participated in, and I fully recommend it to anyone who is...

Optimum CR spread in Monster Books.

Nice subject, Upper_Krust. I like lower CR creatures because you can always advance them through hit-die advancement, add templates to them, or give them class levels to make them tougher. A game can use a weaker base creature across the playing board, but a strong base monster can only be used...
