    (OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

Would you consider an alternate druid option where all he gets as his 3rd level druid ability is an companion animal? Ugh, but the rapier thing...

    (OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

I can poke around I guess. I really was looking forward to Vard 5 though. 3rd level spells and all that. Give ne a bit of time to sort it out.

    (OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

Alright. Works for me for now. Hmm, I actually have been looking around for a second and don't see any easy way to earn an animal companion of any kind. The ranger can get one at lv 3 but that's a pretty hefty dip into a class that doesn't do much good for Dandin's playstyle. Dunno.
  4. gargoyleking

    (OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

LOL Dandin would do that, but is kind of preoccupied. Speaking of which... Fitz, what's it take for a halfling bard to get a grizzly for an animal companion? [emoji14]
  5. gargoyleking

    (OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

Yeah, sadly regular darkmess doesn't do much good unless you can find a way to keep them in the area or confuse their sense of direction. Mord had some good luck with it, but that's mainly because his darkness spells eat things, and the last time he used it, somebody threw up a wall of force to...

    (OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

Yeah, one aspect of 5e is that high level characters aren't as rediculously accurate as they would be in earlier editions.

    D&D 5E (2014) (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

It was a tremulous moment at first, but then the bear seemed to calm down at last. Dandin was relieved to see his magic work, though he could tell that his connection to the fae magics the elk had bestowed upon him were waning. The thought saddened him, but it wasn't like the experience hadn't...
  8. gargoyleking

    (OOC) Scourge of Daggerford (Full)

We did, but that might have been a bit presumptive on our parts. Dandin's down to 1 1st and 1 2nd slot, low on health and no inpiration until he gets a full rest. I think we might have assumed a smaller force of just orcs. There was no "They have an ogre with a pet grizzly".
  9. gargoyleking

    D&D 5E (2014) (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Dandinlooks at Tommi on the cliff in confusion. "Where would we be going? This is the camp we came to defeat, isn't it? If anything we should make sure there aren't any more in the cave and see if we can calm this poor bear down before it gets loose. I don't want to have to hurt it any more...

Dragon of Icespire Peak - [OOC]

Serpa looked up from his spot next to Mina to look at the serving maid in question. The tavernkeeper had instincively grabbed a vroom and 'tried' shooing him out of their establishment like they might've a rat or a mangy cat. But Meadowlark, hadn't reacted with nearly so much disdain that he'd...

    (OOC) Fitz's Folly (ToA PBP)

Works for me. It's easier to do when there's less going on, I thonk.

    D&D 5E (2014) (IC) Fitz's Folly

"Newcombers. That may be relevant. Can ypu tell us more about that incident?" Harb had been forced for once to remove his cloak, and drop his hood. He looked almost more uncomfortable like that than he'd been the entire trip before this. Still, he pretended to lounge in the shade of the rotten...

Dragon of Icespire Peak - [OOC]

Oddly, I made sure he has a cantrip that lets him still be somewhat effective in sunlight. It's a cold damage spell, unfortunately, but Serpa will still be effective enough in sunlight if not at his best. Is also grabbed the clockwork amulet, which will give him an automatic "10" roll once per...

Dragon of Icespire Peak - [OOC]

Also Kobold so yeah. Also a belt of human strength would be somewhat breaking in Serpa's case as he's currently rocking a -2 Str mod. (It'd be like him getting another 4 points to spend on the already enhanced ability point bump.

    D&D 5E (2014) Heroes of Hydellor

Owyn frowned again, looking after the headless corpse of the leader. Even the prisoners were acting quite strangely to him. "I'm beginning to wonder what has befallen these people here. To die willingly, even happily, over a bit of livestock?" "I can be ready to continue on with just an hours...

Dragon of Icespire Peak - [OOC]

@Steve Gorak It isn't necessarily required. We've got plenty of arcane casters and bards do get ritual casting.
