    Game Mechanics & Lore

My library of printed RPG works, which at one time was vast, is gone to the Great Landfill, but of the dozen or so books remain, City of Lies still hangs on. That is what got me interested in L5R in the first place; I bought it after seeing the ad for in in White Dwarf. But now I only game...

Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

OK. That settles the matter, then. No. There's no need to to. And that, I believe sums up the entirety of this situation, 23 pages in. My work here is done.

Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

True. Porn, however, is not critical infrastructure. Nor is this action going to affect the supply of porn.

Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

No, it is where a business decides how it conducts its affairs. Steam and Itch are not the only sources of porn.

    Game Mechanics & Lore

Yeah, Ie was fine, but its not supported by Roll20 and most pf the books are now scans, which I hate.

D&D never works for me. I quit it in the 1e days.

No, its how a business is run, at least in the Free World.

Its just standard risk management. If an aspect of your revenue stream will cause you to have to spend X on PR actions, and only generates Y income, the ratio of X to Y is vital. If X is greater than Y, then dropping Y is the obvious choice.

Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

As I understand it, it was more along the lines of, "your service supports this game", and whomever was assigned to handle the matter at the credit providers passed the complaint along to Steam & Itch with the note that it was bad PR, and Steam & Itch simply adjusted their product policies...

    Running multiple games in parallel?

I've run two weekly campaigns, but using different settings, systems, and players.

As Trapper already noted, a broad policy is safer.

Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

Opposing kiddie porn, among others, is a worthy cause. That's activism worthy of the name.

Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

Not in pornographic detail. But in any case, it is the written word. What is on that list, among other things, is kiddie porn.

GoT (the books) did not depict those acts. Yes, Jamie slept with his twin sister, but never actively in the readers 'view'. There's a huge difference between depiction and reference.

    Game Mechanics & Lore

True, but Dark Sun's setting really needs a different system to make it work. 5e is a fantasy superhero system, while Dark Suns is deeply gritty and hand-to-mouth.

    Game Mechanics & Lore

Everything after 1e. Combat should be fast, fluid, and lethal, but the higher the edition, the slower and clunkier it gets. I'm just going to use a different system, because 1e books are mostly scans.

    Game Mechanics & Lore

I very seldom have used a setting with the system intended for it. It always sems to me that if the setting is great, they skimp on the system. (looking at you in particular, L5R). I would much rather settings be system-agnostic, and systems be setting-agnostic, and GMs just mix and match. But...

    What's Your Price Limit?

I only buy pdfs, and only products that I have a clear use for. I'm unlikely to buy a new system, although there are a couple setting books on my wish list, but its been a long time since I've seen something I would spent more than $20 for. There's one or two potential exceptions, but those are...
