    The ENWorld Shotgun Ragtime Band

I played French Horn back way back in both classical and jazz ensembles - for jazz I mostly covered Trombone 2 on horn (I used to be able to sight transpose! Aghhhh, where has the time gone!), but sometimes the arrangement would have a horn in F part. I also do some mallett percussion and...

The Complete List of d20 Monster Books Updated 12/10/04

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Rock on! On a similar note, and I'm not sure whether this fits into the scope of your book or not: have you checked out the equations Cheiromancer and Anubis developed for the IH/GT Challenege Rating system? This is probably the best way to link to it...

The Complete List of d20 Monster Books Updated 12/10/04

As far as tackling Challenge Ratings and creature building, I must admit that I'm still partial to Craig Cochrane's "Challenging Challenge Ratings" and "Encountering Encounter Levels" document (Version 4 is available in House Rules, IIRC), and the version of the same that appeared in Grim Tales.

    The Immortals Handbook

Just fyi, Google still isn't doing a great job pointing to your site, at least as of last night (I think... time gets compressed and stretched during finals). Searching "immortalshandbook" as one word still works best, but your site is still 4th or so.

    Things To Do With Stewardesses

Hmmmm - using Rich Burlew's diplomacy rules might help with the charm. Check them out here: http://www.giantitp.com/Func0010.html

    Top Five New RPG Books

I'll pitch a list in - I'm not sure whether I can rank them, though. So in no particular order: Grim Tales (Bad Axe) Tome of Horrors II (Necromancer) Book of Iron Might (Malhavoc) The Psychics Handbook (Green Ronin) Elements of Magic: Revised (EN Publishing) Honorable Mention: Unearthed...

    Response to Woas about HARP

Oh man, I saw that infomercial on food network just the other day. Anyways, that deal's almost too tempting to pass up, but my current rash of unchecked gaming purcahses will have to stop until I get a paycheck or three over Winter break. A car repair will do that to a gaming addict's habbits...

    Redoing Base Classes

I think what you're proposing is entirely possible, but you'd have to examine how your characters are going to end up compared to all of the various assumptions built into the system. For a few opinions on how to do this and keep it all "ballanced," check out these sources: You could try U_K's...

    The Immortals Handbook

If you search for "immortalshandbook" on google, it will link straight to your site, but that's hardly as useful as two words...

    Armor as DR, your experiences

I think it's the standard D&D way - you keep a running total of non-lethal damage, and when it equals your current ho, you're staggered. When it exceeds your current HP, you fall unconscious.

    The Immortals Handbook

Hey U_K, The link to the Crown Naga on the Credits page is broken, it points to "http://www.immortalshandbook.com/testimony.htm" and should point to "http://www.immortalshandbook.com/freestuff8.htm". I'm really enjoyed you favorite television list, and I'm reading the rest of the updates...

    The Immortals Handbook

Uh-oh. I just started talking about the "character" of a set of rules I analyzed for Tumble changing at epic levels on the "Build a Better Tumble" thread. I'm doing okay so far, but I'd love to have some crunch-minded people to help me out over there...

    Building a Better Tumble

Yet another thought: The BAB model will break down at epic levels because of epic attack bonus is slower. Tumblers will start being able to do more relative to their competition, with the exception of monsters with +1 BAB per hit die. Is that okay? Using reflex saves to oppose tumble, no the...

    Building a Better Tumble

Whoa! The thread totally moved on while I was making my edit! Here it is again: "The second set of example stats also mean that the character tumbles by 3 fighters with assured success if he moves at half his or her speed. Pretty powerful, but a similar build in the core rules could get by...

    Building a Better Tumble

So does DC 10 + the BAB of your opponent seem like a good base-line? Add 10 to the DC to go full speed, and/or another 10 to go through an opponent's square? Add plus 2 to the DC for every opponent past the first, and all of the surface condidtion modifiers from the 3.5 PHB are as-is as well...

And the next live-action anime movie is...

Oh, of course! Richmond is studying studio art to be an animator, in fact. It's just that if he'd never taken this color theory class (which he's having an absolute blast in, and he's doing a project that features his hand-drawn animation for the final), he never would have analyzed all the...
