    Recommended 1E house rule compliations?

There are also tons of Netbooks out there for 1E and 2E that can help you out, too, if you are looking to expand your rules horizons. Just A Suggestion, Flynn

Important! Interview opportunity - what do you want to know about the GSL?

Oh, then to get this thread back on target, let's try this: Q: What do I want to know about the GSL? A: At the moment, I'd like someone from WOTC to set a reasonable expectation for publishers and fans as to when they feel they will be able to provide the answers to the questions ENWorld has...

Important! Interview opportunity - what do you want to know about the GSL?

Congratulations, JVisgaitis, you lucky man! You sure have her fooled, don't ya? ;) Seriously, I wish you guys the best, and I hope you and your bride have a wonderful time at WDW. Enjoy, Flynn

    New GSL Announcement

Ummm, Orcus, could it be, based on the second paragraph of his post, that perhaps Wulf was being sarcastic? Sometimes tone doesn't carry via email and forum post. The statement didn't jive with Wulf's previous comments, IMO, of course, so that's how I took it. Of course, I'm not Wulf, so maybe...

Notes from a Savage Worlds fantasy campaign (updated with 05/28/08 session notes!)...

Probably zero to one, to be honest. I've given as much as three in a session, but usually it's one or less. I also encourage my players to help point them out, and that helps, too, as I'm just not used to doing so in mid-game. Hope This Helps, Flynn

    New GSL Announcement

Not only that, but we're less than fifty posts from having the thread locked anyway, so maybe you guys might want to consider taking this lively discussion to a new thread. With Regards, Flynn

Notes from a Savage Worlds fantasy campaign (updated with 05/28/08 session notes!)...

One Shot Session - 04/23/08 Good Morning, All: Last week, we ended up with three missing players and called the game. This week, however, we only had one missing, and as it was the party's rogue, they elected not to enter into a dungeon delve without the missing party member at their side...

    Coolest. Soundtrack. EVAR.

The Rune soundtrack, which I picked up at Gen Con a few years back, is also a great soundtrack for gaming and inspiration. With Regards, Flynn

    Does WOTC have the right?

This all seems to have come after my last post here, and if my thoughts above sparked it, I apologize. I agree that we all benefit if we stay in the "safe harbor". I simply recalled the "Great Consolidation" after v3.5 came out, where a number of smaller publishers came under larger umbrella...

    Does WOTC have the right?

Good Morning, All: I wonder if we might not see a "OGL Publishers Clearinghouse" emerge that handles the OGL products for multiple other companies for a small percentage of the profits generated, like some sort of clearing house to manage the particular license officially, but paying dividends...

    New GSL Announcement

A question for the moderators: Is this thread large enough that it is in danger of being locked down and another opened to carry on the discussions here? Seems I remember something of that nature becoming a policy a few weeks ago, and figured I should check before the big news comes down in the...

    Hybrid classes - lazy design?

I think my greatest issue with the existence of Hybrid Classes is simply that it invalidates the Roles paradigm that apparently is supposed to be a meta-rule for 4E game design. It's hard to lend credence to a design philosophy based on the concept of roles when there will be classes that...

Important! Interview opportunity - what do you want to know about the GSL?

A personal request on the questions. Please stress the differences between OGL products and D20 STL products. I believe it has been stated that the D20 STL will be cancelled on June 6, and companies will have until the end of the year to remove the elements of their stock that are no longer...

Important! Interview opportunity - what do you want to know about the GSL?

Traveller and a number of other gaming systems, not based on the D20 System at all, have been released (or are going to be released very soon) under the OGL. Can a publisher release products for a non-D20 System-based OGL game (such as Traveller or Runequest) under the OGL and release products...

    New GSL Announcement

I do find it interesting that the rate of posting on this thread has dropped significantly as the morning passes. I think it speaks well of us all that we are waiting for feedback from Scott and others at WOTC before we continue our discussions. I personally appreciate that so many of us are...

Necromancer Games Goes 4th Edition! Planned Product Updates!

It's my understanding that there's a list of optional class names at the beginning of the Classes Chapter, in order to allow players to use other designations for the APG classes once any official versions come out. Also, I understand that it was a design requirement that the classes be...

    New GSL Announcement

That's the reason I'm asking, so that the question doesn't get lost in the shuffle. I figure the rest of it will be answered in time. I'm just trying to find out whether I personally will be doing 4E work or not, because I'm dedicated to supporting Traveller in whatever fashion I can. If I can't...

    New GSL Announcement

I am a very small-time publisher. I have produced a number of works as a freelancer, and have been the creator and editor of a fanzine for Traveller for over three years now. I've published a few minor PDF products, the most lucrative of which is Fantasy Concepts, and that only hit the 50 copies...
