Karna might be able to do some Arcane damage, true. But if she gets to be a Dragon Disciple she'll never have any spells higher than 3rd. So she'll be able to cast quite a bit due to the bonus spells, but nothing very high level.

Karna's not a super meat shield now, but she's intended to be fairly good at that later on. So meat shield or other?... I don't know.

I was going more for the self powered approach. Studying works by and about people who've been devoted to dragons. But training would be fine as well. I could write it into background, or possibly it could happen in game? Dunno if there'll be time for stuff like that, but it's a thought.

Sorry for the delay on my character, real life came up. Are Dragon Disciples Eberron appropriate? I had an idea that I thought was pretty neat for a Valenar Battle Sorcerer who was cursed by the Keepers of the Past with a traitor ancestor that served the dragons during the elf/dragon war.

Faris straps into an empty chair in the cockpit, knowing he's just the next thing from useless, but wanting to be able to see all the same.
