How many Missed sessions till a game dies?

After around 4 missed games, my campaigns are pretty much over, particularly if the campaign is just starting. Players lose interest quickly, and more critically, *I* lose interest (at least when it comes to actually running). I tend to be somewhat fickle with my hobbies, and if I'm not being...

Yes. Heck, some weekends, I wouldn't even know it occured until Monday...

Has a eunuch template been published?

There's a PrC in OA as well. Well, in the 3.0 version at least. If the book was updated, I don't know if it's still there.

Do you let players determine what some NPCs are like?

It's my #2 theory for why many (if not most) PCs had their entire family/village/whatever conveniently destroyed before the game starts. Then again, many don't realise how useful such people can be, since the emphasis is always upon the PCs doing everything themselves, with NPCs being a)...

Do you let players determine what some NPCs are like?

While I wouldn't allow players to do actual statting, I encourage them to provide details on the people important in their character's lives. Not only because they probably have a better idea of what these people are like, but because they won't have to worry about what *I* write up regarding...

    Diablo 2 Game Cinimatics

I seem to recall an application that allowed someone to extract files from the large datafiles (I forget the extension) Diablo (and a other Blizzard games) used to store things like vids. It was free and fan-made as far as I recall, but I don't know if one could still find it, or a version that...

Myers-Briggs Personality breakdown of ENWorld members

    Your personality type is INFP. Introverted (I) 75% Extraverted (E) 25% Intuitive (N) 55% Sensing (S) 45% Feeling (F) 65% Thinking (T) 35% Perceiving (P) 77% Judging (J) 23% Idealist, borderline Artist. Which fits quite well, IMO.

"If you can't share, don't bring it..."

Yes. Better to be arguably 'unfair' than it is to introduce rules that cannot be easily reviewed at will. If I own a book, I've probably read through it at least once, and I have in mind where all of the rules fit within the campaign. 'Sides, even if I do have a given book, or rule, or what...

"If you can't share, don't bring it..."

I only allow books and materials that I personally own, though I'm willing to look up small online items (classes, etc) if someone wants to use one. Though I don't lend books to others (nor borrow myself), rules are generally freely available for use by anyone, unless house ruled.

Do fumbles add anything to the game?

I use fumbles, but I'm very loose with them. I don't use a chart or roll a random event. I try to tie them into what's unfolding in the battle, and sometimes, that means merely missing as usual.

What would you do with this oathbreaking paladin?

This would not qualify as a significant enough deviation from the CoC for me to penalize a character.

    Role-Playing vs. Alignment Conflict

Such a mindset would inevitably drag one away from Good in my games, though it would depend just how often Goblins (or whatever) appear and are treated in such a fashion. Odds are, treatment as you defined would be enough to cause a change of alignment after only a couple of such encounters...

Games of 2004: What are you looking forward to the most?

Not many games really grab me anymore. Currently, the only definite one (assuming it doesn't get pushed again into 2005, which isn't unlikely) is The Sims 2. UT2004 is a possibility, but there is only so many multiplayer annoyances I can tolerate before I want to hurt people in real life :p...

World ideas that you think are lame

Only ones I dislike: Blatantly high magic worlds: I somewhat like high, earth-shattering magic, but not when it's everywhere. Doom worlds: I find it takes a really good GM to make these games fun, given that you are generally told at the outset that you can't actually accomplish anything, or...

Do you let PC's play opposite gender characters?

I have no problem with it. However, players that decide to go the tavern slut/BDSM lesbian route will quickly find themselves making a new character. They just get too irritating. However, I might make an exception if one approaches such things in a reasonably tasteful fashion (and the game is...

    Worlds of Warcraft Beta Announced

Haven't really been watching WoW, but some first-hand experience with the game may convince me to try out my fourth MMORPG come retail. *cross fingers* [EDIT: 500 Internal Server error when moving on to the second step of the registration. No doubt their servers are taking quite a hit. In...

D&D deserves a better XP system

Demanding an advantage due to a certain playstyle would not go over well in most groups anyway. If they defeat the encounter, they defeat the encounter *shrug* I don't care how smooth or sloppy it is, as a GM; they either survive and we move on, or they get defeated, and probably get killed...
