    Thar be Trolls about!

I have noticed a trend in several threads recently. Basically someone will post a thought about a certain game rule or system and in the middle of the post will slip in a rather wild sounding slam of said rule or system. Now I have heard of people being trolls and I think I have a basic idea on...

George RR Martin Update on his site

A friend of mine was at a party in which George RR Martin was in attendence. After a few drinks, my friend went up to George and told him that he should consider himself pimp slapped for taking so long to write the next book. Needless to say George was not too happy about the comment. LOL! :p

    Thrilling Pulp Adventures! [M&M]

Hi Elfy, As for a "rocket" pack, hummm it would be ok. Though a raygun just would not fit the setting of the game. Think Doc Savage, The Shadow, Indiana Jones, Fu Manchu, The Phantom, etc. While there will be some weird science and strange occult things going on in the game, I don't want the...

    Thrilling Pulp Adventures! [M&M]

Yes, I looked over the Gun rules and new feats in the Nocturnals book. While I thought they were pretty cool, I could not force myself to buy the book for just 2 or 3 pages of rules.

Third Edition Culture- Is is sustainable?

Why in heavens name did you continue to run a campaign for 12 more levels after you stopped having fun with it? And why rub more salt into your own wounds by going into Epic levels?? You could have just told your players that you where out of your depth and not having any more fun running the...

Third Edition Culture- Is is sustainable?

The combats that I have run or played in have been fun and interesting with the tactical options that 3e gives me. And as for metagaming, it's been around for a long long time. One combat per hour sounds damn good to me. What where you used to?

    Midnight, Still Playing?

I was wondering if anyone is still playing or running in the Midnight campaign setting? Looking in the Play by Post area no one is running it. Is it too grim and hopeless a setting to keep a long standing game going? Just wondering.

Long Time Gamma World fans - is the d20 game worth it?

I loved Metamorphosis Alpha! I was the first game that I ever GM's! There was a copy in my junior high library and I checked it out and ran a game for one of my friends. The Gamma World d20 is a piece of trash in my opinion. It was a real disappointment.

    Thrilling Tales!

Garth Skarka puts out some quality stuff so I am not worried. As for the covers, I don't know who would have the rights to a cover of a pulp mag from the 1930's. I know of at least one company that sells a ton of pulp covers on CD. So I would guess that it is pretty much public domain. I could...

Help in reducing the wargaming aspect of DnD

It sounds like that he does not role-play because he is not very good at it. Some people just are not any good at role-playing so they then to make up for it in other ways. We had a guy in my old group who could not role-play himself out of a paper bag. He would just sit there quiet at the table...
