Clerics are a popular class for elves...Really?

Unless you pick up BECM, then plate mail & shields are one of the big perks. :D YOU CANNOT ESCAPE TRADITION NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRYYY About the Dragon posting bit, so, wait, are they having the Barbarian in some future book as the Nature Defender or whatever? I have seen a straw and must...

    Races and Classes, Two-Weapon Fighting?

Yeah, I generally like this. Another, more gamist option is to make it really good at carving up large numbers of weaker foes, and with the "minion" monster template and the general monster/PC power balance in 4E this could actually be a useful option. Like, it would be nice if cleave-type...

    Dragonborn: Boobs or No Boobs?

Well you know what they say, you can't make a points-of-light omelette without breaking a few eggs.

    Dragonborn: Boobs or No Boobs?

Great, so when do we get to the thri-kreen jubblies?

    From R&C: Fighters & Armor

Re archers as rangers/woodsmen: The correlation sort of does make sense, in that your stereotypical amazing archer has perception abilities out the ying-yang, the ability to spot a mouse from a hundred yards out and shoot it, something that's beyond a 3E fighter per RAW (I houseruled two...

    Oots 513

Yeah, I never particularly got the impression that Tsukiko was higher-level than any of the individual members of the Order of The Stick. Of course I could have been wrong, or maybe assisting the takeover of Emerald City was worth a whole crapload of XP... :D

HBO's ROME Series: D&D campaign possible?

Okay, I have seen Rome. It's a good show, isn't it? However until you tell us what you want to emulate about it, we're all kind of in the dark, though I can take a guess: You want the PCs to emulate the roles of Pullo and Vorenus, kind of haphazardly staggering through peripheral roles...

    D&D 4E Monte Cook on 4E

I'd probably go for Iron Heroes 2.0 quicker than I will D&D 4.0. There is some kinda wonky stuff in IH. Most of it seems to be on the broken-pointless side rather than the broken-insane side. The way a number of the classes' tokens seem to work, or don't work, for example. And I'm aware that...

Duergar: I'm shocked - a flavour change I really like!

Hmmm. If I use any of this, instead of making duergar into evil dwarves, I might make my dwarves into "good" duergar. (Scare quotes because I'm not sure about the good part.)

I want an invading army from beyond this dimension. Tell me about it.

Well, a hundred-foot margin of error is pretty tight for a WWII-era bomb, even a "precision" one... though a total lack of return fire would help things a good bit for the bombardier... But then why focus on bombs when plain ol' arty will do? Though personally as far as invaders are concerned...

Should movement be a skill? (integrating climb, jump..combo's)

I'd concur. I suppose you could combine Jump and "Run" or whatever into an Athletics skill (Con-based?), but climbing walls and swimming are specialized enough that they should be separate. Likewise Escape Artist is a very specific skill, but it's something that is (or should be) as powerful...

Was the 1E assassin ever playtested?

Okay... I don't understand what this means.

    Are demons/devils/dragons too complex?

I would propose that "the new dragon" not cast spells, but instead warp spells around it with its very presence. How this would be implemented is hard to say offhand, but there you go, big dent in the magical advantage. SR on steroids.

    Tieflings of Melnibone

Honestly, I don't remember the books that well (especially towards the end of the arc) but weren't what little we saw of the Law powers relatively benign, especially compared to the ceaseless depravity of Chaos? I mean, the thrust of the story was a general failed attempt to "reachieve balance"...

Power Level of Characters Will Decline

3e characters are all more-or-less glass cannons, capable of great powers but, at any level, also capable of going down in flames and meaty chunks in seconds if something goes wrong... it sounds as if 4e is trying to achieve the 1e/2e "sweet spot", where most characters don't win the battle in...

D&D 4E Should terrain be move vulnerable to damage in 4E?

    Man, I wouldn't want to be a D&D lumberjack. :(

So, eladrin's can teleport around? ..nail...coffin...rogue already obsolete?

But why would you jump to conclusions when you could teleport to them? * flees *

    D&D 4E Gunpowder in 4E?

I like the way gunpowder is handled now, as a rules option, though muskets & such could stand to be a little more powerful for the cost & character investment.

Unintended(?) Consequence of No More X-Mas Tree?

Depends on the effect. If it's stat and save bonuses how would you tell? Low-magic / high-magic is not the same axis as cinematic / grim-and-gritty. (speaks a fan of low-magic, cinematic games)

    D&D 4E Flying in 4e

My hope is that they come up with an abstract system that simulates three-dimensional combat for flying and (possibly) swimming combats. Playing it out on a mat is fine for one-on-one duels, but much beyond that and it becomes a terrible grind (keep track of height, vector, maneuverability...)...
