Elvish Names, now in Elvish letters!

Great! Thanks. My kids will get a big kick out of these.

    [August] What are you reading?

Just finished The Thousand Orcs by R.A. Salvatore. About 2/3rds through with the second Harry Potter book. Probably going to start A Game of Thrones when I finish the HP book (which should be today/tomorrow).

    ASCII Matrix

Reminds me of the mid/late 1980's when you downloaded pictures (off of BBS's) and would print them off on a dot-matrix printer. They looked like that, without the animiation of course.

Elvish Names, now in Elvish letters!

OK. How'bout the following? (my family): Samuel April Meagan Jacob Allison If you don't want to do a bunch, don't sweat it. Just choose one. Thanks.

    How do you calculate XP?

I think it's supposed to be like 11 2/3's encounters in order to level. Seems like it happens quicker than that though.

    How do you calculate XP?

I must have glossed over that when I read the relevant section of the FCRS. Great book. Haven't had a chance to play or run a game in it yet though.

    How do you calculate XP?

Been looking over my shiny new 3.5DMG, and they've changed the way XP is cacluated and distributed to players. I've been calculating XP by deteriming the Average Party Level (APL) and then looking up the CR of the monster/NPC on the table, dividing the result by the number of players. (I add...

    Not With a Bang OOC

Monday works good as a deadline. Oh, and I am in the Eastern Time Zone. I live about 35 miles outside of NYC.

Worldworks releases Castles & Keeps interiors...

The attendant didn't mention anything about a file fee. I told him I'd be coming in with a file on a CD and wanted a price to print out onto cardstock w/color laser. $1.40/page was the quote. Going to try it out at home first. I'm interested to see how much ink these things suck up.

[NJ, DE, PA and even VA, NY and all points East!] Shorecon [ENworld gathering]

I vote for a somewhat informal gathering in the pub w/appetizers & the like. As for time, the only thing on the schedule that is fixed is the LG interactive (which I think is Sat. Nite). Saturday afternoon works, but any pickup game would have to be complete by the time the interactive starts.

    D&D weekenders | Kore | dead thread

I like the background DH. Works for me. Let's go with Thaerl has been requested to walk with the masterless swords by my school.

Worldworks releases Castles & Keeps interiors...

Stopped into the Kinko's here in midtown Manhattan (Lex & 54th). Now, they're probably more expensive here than somewhere that wasn't smack-dab in the middle of NYC, but for a cardstock one-sided color laser print, it's $1.40 (with tax). The attendant behind the counter said if you have a...

    D&D weekenders | Kore | dead thread

I'll follow along on the Masterless Sword concept. Thaerl consider himself "attached" to House Oe, though not a retainer. He hopes to shepard others along to see the correctness of Ashtren's path.

Not With a Bang, I: Its Own Reward

Re: In trouble already Grunlor looks up, hearing the half-drunk roar of a dwarf at a table across the room. I don't recall seeing that dwarf before. Lost his brother.... What a horrible story. Intrigued, Grunlor closes his book and walks over towards where the (surprisingly) short dwarf...

I'm in Bellmore. Hopefully, if the strike does happen, it will be settled by Labor Day weekend.

Not an expert, but I think it's right outside Philly.

I'm wondering though, between the ink and the cardstock, if it wouldn't be cheaper to have Kinko's do it? If it's color laser output, you don't have to worry about it getting any moisture on it at the gaming table either.

    D&D weekenders | Kore | dead thread

I'm pretty much ok with any combination of answers here :p. I don't mind 2PCs, though wouldn't mind more either. I'm also fine with the "weekend" concept, though would be ok if it were a typical PbP timeline. I guess what I'm saying is it's your call Doghead.

    3.5 Modules?

You do need to take a look at the changes to the monsters though, need to make sure that you are still in the same EL neighborhood. Any spellcaster NPCs will likely need to be reworked to some degree too.

Tap..Tap..Tap Is this thing on? Doghead, I've got no problem playing with two PCs, but perhaps if you changed the title to something like "D&D Weekenders [Recruiting]", we'd get a bit more interest?
