I played a Barbarian/Cleric in a game for awhile... we didn't worship a god or gods. Instead we worshiped/revered/coerced nature spirits and our ancestors for our 'spells.'

A monkey would make a great familiar for a Multi-classed Bard. Let the monkey give a +2 to perform (he's much cuter than the Bard after all)... :)

My Wizard has a Toad familiar, and no one's going call me anything that I don't like. Then again, I'm a 12th level Dwarven Wizard with a CON of 22. The only person in the group with more hit points than me is the pure fighter. :)

Oh, I never said that imperial measure isn't just as, or even more arbitrary. Just that metric is not as scientifically perfect as some would like us to believe. And when it comes to practicality, what're you're used to and familiar with is always the most practical.

I wish they could publish the maps from Dungeon in electronic format on their web site or something though. That would rock.

Seems far too fatal to me, but then I generally resent the time that it takes for my players to roll up new characters every week. I'm assuming that this is for D20M, not regular D&D... it would favor spell casters too much in regular D&D. One 10th level maximized fireball would do 60 points...
