Gamma World influences/sources of inspiration If you've not read them, Unforsaken Hiero, and Hiero's Journey by Sterling Lanier are required reading for Gamma World. While they are both out of print, you can probably find them used without too much difficulty. I'd be shocked if the first book...

Actually no, I didn't see his editing in Nobilis... but then again, I consider that the mark of a good editor, not seeing it, that is. If I can see the editing job, it's because they made mistakes.

I know that the entire first season is on DVD. I think the entire second season is on DVD as well. I'd also look at John Tynes' site (URL eludes me ATM) as he was working on a Stargate RPG at one point and a good chunk of his work is posted there.

Funny that you mention Dinos... I'm gonna run a two session tryout after the holidays (I refuse to try and run through the holidays), my current thought is to let everyone start at 4th level or so. I didn't see this first time either, but it states that using EA to get out of handcuffs takes 1 minute, so taking 20 would require taking 20 minutes. So much for being able to hold your breath while removing them underwater.

One problem... you can only get the benefit from one profession. d20M pg. 32 "A hero may hold other jobs as his career unfolds, but the benefits of a starting occupation are only applied once, at the time of character creation."

Actually, it's more of a detriment, since you need to make a reflex save.

And it comes down even more with the Nimble feat (+2 to Escape Artist and Slight of Hand)... I think it's safe to say that Houdini wasn't a low level character. Now, if you're looking for the pulp/cinematic escape artist rather than realism, my call would be to consider creating an advanced...
