Pathfinder Gets A New CRPG...Sort Of

At this point I'm wondering if Mr. Vincke is 'inventing' a new story/reason for every interview. Or if he's trying to roll back those burned bridges... Or the reason why they didn't do BG4 is due to a multitude of reasons and depending on when you ask, what's the most important reason might...

Cubicle 7 Announces New Horus Heresy RPG for Warhammer

@humble minion (what an appropriate name! ;) ) It could be a joined mission of inter cooperation, or a Space Marine exchange program, preparation for some kind of Crusade, refugees from other Chapters, etc. I think they'll come up with some good motivations in the book...

Cubicle 7 Announces New Horus Heresy RPG for Warhammer

Think it of playing a set of Black Adder and Baldrick... The Chapter Serf that's attached to your Space Marine will probably be holding the target during practice:

Cubicle 7 Announces New Horus Heresy RPG for Warhammer

But wasn't one of those 40k lines taken over from another publisher (Wrath & Glory from Uliesses Spiele). It started out a bit more cartoony than most of us would like, it seems that has changed a bit over the years. Imperium Maledictum is C7s own D100 take of 40k, the HH RPG is 30k. It wouldn't...

Cubicle 7 Announces New Horus Heresy RPG for Warhammer

That's pretty much what they do. They still have the Dr. Who license, don't know if they released anything new recently though. They still have some 5e products in their shop (two products even in Q1 2025). But it's probably a safe bet that 75%+ of C7 is Warhammer x...

Mostly interested in the art from this and possibly the fluff (there's a TON already out there).

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

It's out, as in officialy WotC/D&D licensed modules, @$30/module. PHB/DMG 2024 have been out for a while, MM 2025 has been out for a week and a half (and still has some bugs). I have them all, very, very nice! The price is well worth the saved effort of doing it yourself...

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

I don't necessarily agree, it dilutes the market. And let's be honest here, many VTT projects have just absolutely failed to deliver made promises. That dilutes trust even more, an insane amount of VTTs makes it impossible to choose and impossible for publishers to support them all unless...

    D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

Was that exactly what you imagined in every detail? If so, that's incredibly lucky! Because I get what Overgeeked is getting at. If you have a general idea or no specific depiction in your head, the image generation can be perfectly fine, maybe even better then that depending on the model used...

Sigil, Wizards of the Coast's VTT, Officially Launches

Yours or theirs? Creating VTTs costs money, creating VTTs in a big enterprise environment (like at WotC/Hasbro) costs LOTS of money. You also paid for Foundry VTT, everyone needs to eat and businesses only assign money to projects that eventually turn profitable. Free can't be profitable...

RPG Archive: Lovecraft Country for CoC and D&D

To be fair... If you see a Pokemon in the 1920s there might be something seriously wrong with you... ;) But it's a mechanic that the game is centered on, similarly in D&D where you get hit by a crossbow bolt and you just scratch off a couple of hitpoints and then do a 50 mile cross country hike...

Pathfinder Gets A New CRPG...Sort Of

Only 5 euros on Steam, but they also have a free (demo?) version from apparently the same developer called 'Quest for the Golden Candelabra', also on Steam. It only has a Windows version though, will test it on Crossover when I have some time.

    D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

@Scribe Have you tried adding "No boob armor" to the prompt? I was reading/playing around with olmOCR and someone mentioned that they got better results by adding "Do not hallucinate" to the prompt, they got better results.

RPG Archive: Lovecraft Country for CoC and D&D

Oh... Cool! Never knew that there were official D20 supplements for CoCD20. CoC always interested me, but never expected to run it due to the rules. But recently bought the 7e starter set for Foundry VTT and that looks interesting! I wonder how well the CoCD20 stuff would adapt to D&D 2024...

Pathfinder Gets A New CRPG...Sort Of

Don't care about the drama attached. But it's a software/computer game Kickstarter, those are notoriously badly fulfilled. If you're lucky it stays in perpetual Early Access before being abandoned by the developer. There are of course numerous cases where you got a great computer game, but just...
