I'm not being defensive, I've never had a problem with people changing the setting. I was trying to fill in what seemed to be some missing pieces about what Midnight was, to help you enjoy it, of course. ;)

I guess that's my point, then. Why can't you enjoy Midnight without having the PCs challenge Izrador? The setting as presented is one in which the armies of the dark lord have won the day. In most settings the armies of good have won the day, and they are what they are because of that. Midnight...

I'd have to say Midnight. I mean, it's only been out like 2 years and they're already doing a 2nd Edition! They're even beefing the book up, converting the player's supplement, and getting brand new art! I mean, FFG? I think it should be $$G!!!!
