[NFL] Pats vs. Colts - make your prediction here!

Yeah, I actually wouldn't be surprised if it was fairly low-scoring. You can bet both defenses have been studying the opponent's offense for a lot longer than a week. :) Oh, and by the way: GO PACK GO! Best. Overtime. Evar!!

SRD v MIC: Bracers of Armor

Right. And my point was that while the two armor bonuses would not stack, the enhancement bonus should be tacked onto the greater of the two. However, after reading Hypersmurf's post, I went and re-read the SRD on both the Magic Vestment spell and the definition of an enhancement bonus: This...

[NFL] Pats vs. Colts - make your prediction here!

I'm picking the Pats both out of loyalty and because I think they're a bit better. Also, I'm just sick to death of seeing Peyton Manning's face. I mean I'm sure he's a nice enough guy and everything, but MAN he's on TV a lot.

SRD v MIC: Bracers of Armor

I think you could argue that it does. Not the whole value of the magical plate armor, but the enhancement bonus. In your example, the bracers are lower value than the base armor, so it's irrelevant. But in my example, the bracers are better "armor" than the padded armor. So I think you could...

What are you going to be for Halloween?

My wife and I did the priest and nun thing when she was very pregnant with our first. Big hit at the party. :)

SRD v MIC: Bracers of Armor

So would this be legal? Padded Armor (+1 Armor to AC) Bracers of Armor +4 (+4 Armor to AC, does not stack with padded armor, so +4 total) Magic Vestment cast on Padded Armor (+X Enhancement bonus to armor, DOES stack with bracers) Seems OK to me...

What are you going to be for Halloween?

Hey, I have the build for that! :)

All good things come to an end...

I think it rocks. You let somebody in the party have it, then take it away. They then spend time (with the help of their non-cursed friends) trying to steal it back so they can burn it. Might be the most fun if the cursed character is a beloved NPC, or the cursed PC at least has a competent...

Insight's "The Shadow of Set" - IC Thread

Avardis returns the cloth to G'sharn and says, "Small mystery there." He points to a high cornice of the Temple before them, from which a pennant waves bearing the same symbol. "Perhaps you will find the answers you're looking for."

Insight's "The Shadow of Set" - IC Thread

OOC: Yes it does. If the GM doesn't see it, it never happened. ;) "Might I take a look at that," Avardis asks the halfling. "Hmm.." OOC: Any chance Avardis recognizes it? Knowledge(Religion), maybe? Or perhaps as a native of Majoor it's something he might have seen before? See, I told you...

What are you going to be for Halloween?

I don't know. Iowa can be pretty cold at the end of October. :)

    If X were OGL, I'd write Y

If the warlock class were OGL, I'd write a bunch of quirky new invocations. I think invocations are a good place for weird effects.

Do you mix high fantasy and sci-fi?

I've mixed them in the past, usually as a short-term diversion. My first real D&D campaign ended with the planet being colonized by high-tech aliens (actually from Earth, circa 2400 AD). The PCs had to build and man what was basically a starjammer ship to appeal to the "council of worlds" for...

    Zombies! New Dungeoncraft article up

They have made a point of saying customizing critters will be easier. Maybe it will be something as simple as: 1) Take Medium Zombie 2) Add ability from list of "+1 level" abilities until it does what you want 3) Use at new level. That would be sweet if it works.

The Shared Experience: Keep on the Borderlands

You know after all these years I don't think I've ever used or encountered the ol' cube. I may have to trot it out at my players soon.

    Mock your user name!

No, you're right. The same word also refers to the hip bone (hence my user title). But the "business end" of the intestine is way funnier. :) EDIT: Wikipedia entries for the anatomically inclined. Turns out the spelling is actually different (so perhaps less funny unless you want to point...

    Mock your user name!

An Ilium is, in addition to an ancient city, part of the human intestine. It makes fun of itself. :)
