Insight's "The Shadow of Set" - IC Thread

Now that they have him surrounded, Avardis says, "Don't kill the jackal! I want answers." He swings his blade at the thug's axe, trying to create an opening for Droban Aid Another to help Droban hit. +1 attack

Wands and Mage Hand - Your opinion...

Since wands are normally Spell Trigger items, this is clearly not a typical wand. So it's entirely up to you whether you want to let this work, as you have already left RAW-land. :)

Wands and Mage Hand - Your opinion...

I don't think you can do this according to the RAW. 1) A wand lets you effectively cast the spell. 2) The cure spells require touch. 3) Touch is defined as touching with your hand or other body part, not a wand or other object. If you could deliver a touch spell through an object, the...

Continuing your campaign or starting fresh?

I'll definitely be keeping my game world/history/etc. Only if 4e really wows me will I convert. Most likely I'll stick with 3.5.x where x is whatever house rules and 4e porting I feel like having.

    No pro-football thread here???

Oh, and I forgot to mention the very best thing about this season. A couple years ago, my wife suddenly became interested in football. So every week I am REQUIRED to sit on my butt, eat greasy food, drink beer and watch the game whether I like it or not. :)

    No pro-football thread here???

I'm having about the best football-watching season EVAR! Pats 4-0...check Packers 4-0...check Badgers 4-0...check (or is it 5-0 now?)

D&D 4E Should the Flumph be included in the 4E Monster Manual?

Flumph power all the way. In fact, even though I've never used them in my game before I am now inspired to do so. The next time my PCs need an obscure bit of information, they'll have to find the great Flumph sage "Squishy" and beg its wisdom.

Help me name my Runepunk RPG!

I agree on switching the taglines, but I prefer: OMEGABLADE: Heavy Metal Roleplaying Although it might lead people to think it's a game about being in a Heavy Metal band. :) http://members.aol.com/TRITACGAMES/RockStar.htm

    D&D 4E 4e Srd

Maybe the easiest thing for Wizards to do would be to just mark the OGC right in the books like other publishers do. Everything that's OGC has a certain background or font or whatever (or maybe everything that's NOT would have a certain background if it's less material). Might make the book...

Insight's "The Shadow of Set" - IC Thread

Seeing Isphet fall, Avardis shouts, "NO!". With a roar, he charges at the merchant's attacker. If the axe-wielder is far enough away, do an actual Charge. Otherwise just close with him. If charge: +3 melee (1d10+1 slash 19-20/x2) AC 17 Otherwise: +1 melee (1d10+1 slash 19-20/x2) AC 19

    D&D 4E 4e Srd

Isn't that pretty much a description of the existing SRD? :) Someone will still publish it electronically (which I appreciate) and nearly everyone who uses it will still buy the books.

    D&D 4E 4e Srd

I'm one of those. I never would have gotten back into D&D at all if it wasn't for the "test drive" I was able to take with the SRD. I think it increases sales rather than limiting them. YMMV.

CLOSED: Recruiting Call for The Colour of Fear

If we have it will definitely put a crimp in our Dr. Who style. We may have to morph into a Torchwood spinoff! :D

So don't use it. Will WotC break into your house and confiscate all your brenching stuff at katana-point?

    Sectumsempra's Severing Slash

Actually if I'm reading the latest version correctly, the damage is untyped (just like Blade Barrier). It's "spell" damage, rather than any particular type. As to the whole "should it remove limbs" thing, I think that's the whole point of the spell. So we need to make it work. For specific...

    Sectumsempra's Severing Slash

I didn't mean a 20 on the attack roll OR a 1 on the save. I meant JUST the 1 on the save, for a 5% chance of decapitation. That way you know you failed (rolled a 1) AND you know the effect. All with one die roll. You still have to roll to hit (and if you roll a 20 you can crit for double...
