    Eh. Too much work for me. I'd rather do the legwork now on the items and let the players know ahead of time what powers will "turn on" and when. Then, I no longer have to worry about keeping track of the items. The way I plan to do this is not very much different from a 1st level character...

    Thanks, but I'm still wondering about how to determine how many are destroyed. Forget about the Turn Resistance for a moment, and let's say they were 3 HD. How many would have been destroyed in this example? 2 destroyed and 1 turned, or 5 destroyed? Thanks.

    Also, you can take a -10 to your tumble check and tumble as part of your normal movement, meaning that once you have a +24 or higher skill check, you tumble at normal speed without rolling (vs. 1 creature and not entering their space).

    Well, I did write up rules for the items, and it eerily matched the rules in Unearthed Arcana...not exactly, but close. They get XP at the same rate as the characters (without stealing from the party's pool of XP), and when they go up levels, they gain skill points and ability score increases...
