This convo makes me wonder if I could get away with running a truncated version of B3 - Palace of the Silver Princess.

Staedler broad tip FTW, but Crayola washable markers work in a pinch (and I like them b/c they are very broad and good for thick walls or coloring areas in). Staedler used to make "very broad" markers (can't recall if that was the actual size name) but I have not found one for sale anywhere...

Alternatively, go ahead and use those colors (I have for 30+ years) and be sure to clean up as you go or as soon as the session is over. I find those invaluable for drawing brush or fire or green slime or magma, etc. I also use blue for water and brown for wooden structures.

Chessex wet erase battle mat (I own 4). Wet erase > Dry erase. And draw as you go. Or draw it all out ahead of time with 1” graph paper (I got a 200 ft roll - probably enough to last what time I have left in this world) and then cover up the unexplored areas with construction paper and reveal...

Maybe I’ve played too much 2e and 3e, where touch attacks were a thing, but I would have required an attack roll for the touch too. Presumably the dragon was trying not to be touched (though granting advantage also makes sense to me).
