From what I've read and discussed with a friend, it seems like Shadowrun 5th ed is a refinement and hopefully improvement over the 4th ed Anniversary edition.

He means that the "General" knowledge (told around the fire-pit) might not be accurate compared to well studied and researched knowledge located within a library or scholar's notes. [ although that has a chance to be wrong/outdated as well :) ]

I'd say my order starting from the most is Numenara, Star Wars, Shadowrun 5ed, and 13th Age. Haven't seen the rest to make any determinations.

I could be wrong, but I believe Ebooks covers the PDF's. Tales of Numenara came in PDF, Mobi and ePub formats all together, the Core Book releases may be similar.

You could apply the Massive Damage rules recently introduced, for a Coup de Grace. Effectively if you do more than double their hp in damage it's an outright kill. I know they were meant for PC's death and dying rules, but that easily translates over to NPC's.
