    [Meta] Story Hour Index (development)

Let me begin by saying I think this is a good idea, el-remmen. I will also put my time where my mouth is and volunteer to help get an index on its feet. I think that's an excellent point, but... and I hesitate as I open this can of worms... there are more than 1,200 threads in the forum. For...

    Anyone going to GenCon SoCal?

Gone the last couple of years and will probably at least try to make it a three-peat with the gang.

Welcome to the Halmae (updated 2/27/07)

Wow! What a wonderful statistic. And one that I--for all of my compulsive qualities--never calculated myself.* Glad to hear you're liking the story, and... because I am passionately curious, I have to ask... did you actually count up all of the updates, maps, and sidebars? *Yes, I have...

Yeah, yeah, John. It's all fun and games until someone loses their guide... Part the One-Hundred Fiftieth In which: What? Another encounter? But we haven’t slept yet! It’s late afternoon on the same day as the sandworm attack and Reyu is on high alert for signs of anything that might be...

Part the One Hundred Forty-Ninth In which: the party finds that there are many ways to die in the desert. The party gathers over breakfast to discuss their situation. Although, seeing as their supplies have gone off with their guide in the night, it would be more accurate to say that they...

Part the One-Hundred Forty-Eighth In which: Anvil demands an explanation… so does Djamel. Lira watches as Anvil leads the blinded, shackled Baasim back to the camp. She nails him with a pair of magic missiles. Baasim turns his head frantically, trying to find the source of the sudden pain...

Part the One-Hundred Forty-Seventh In which: not all dangers of the desert will kill you… like that. At Baasim’s shout, dark figures come running out of the darkness and into the camp from all directions. Baasim himself runs straight for Thatch, striking out with his whip. The lash wraps...

Doh! That would have been our desert odyssey. The dessert odyssey might well come this Saturday. At the very least we'll probably get to the aperitif odyssey. I'm not betting large sums of money we'll make it to dessert. :p

coyote6: I am always proud to learn that this story hour has caused loss of sleep. Welcome. :) And if past years are any guide, we'll figure out when, if, and how many of us are going to GenCon SoCal approximately the Wednesday before it begins. In the meantime: Part the One-Hundred...

HELP ME WITH A MURDER MYSTERY PLOT (My players keep out!)

It would certainly be clear that someone hadn't wanted speak with dead to work, but I'm thinking that anyone who is going to kill someone in a world where the dead can be asked who killed them would be concerned about that. The act doesn't point at a particular suspect though. That being...

HELP ME WITH A MURDER MYSTERY PLOT (My players keep out!)

Well, given that you do want your players to solve the mystery, you don't want the frame-up to be too good. :) It's a clever plan, although the barmaid/assassin takes quite a risk that Darius wouldn't walk into the room and do something non-incriminating such as call for help or walk out...

Well, here it is, the much-promoted beginning of our saga within a saga, in which John Rogers joins the party for a session, and well… see for yourself. Part the One-Hundred Forty-Fourth In which: a good guide is hard to find… and Pesshetaup is even harder to locate. The next morning, Eva sets...

DarkMatter D20: Drunk Southern Girls with Guns ... UPDATED - 8/18/05!

An update! Egads! And just in the nick of time too. *shakes head* All of my plotting and planning for naught. Naught! Still, we've got the update, so it's a win-win from where I'm sitting. Excuse me, I have to go change the "In which: ..." on my next update now. (Note to self...

Do you have clocks in your game?

Reallly, I'm not sure how our party keeps track of time overnight. We must do it because we sit watches in shifts and the party's main cleric prays for his spells at midnight. Maybe his god *pings* him. Honestly though, it's not something anyone in the party loses sleep over. :)

Part the One-Hundred Forty-Third In which: Lira makes a proposal. “We will renew our agreement to assist you in finding a contact here in Siunethrit. We won’t try to end your existence and you won’t try to end ours.” “And in return?” Gemil asks suspiciously. “You will owe us a favor.” “A...
