    Quick Question

I think duskblades can channel spells up to a certain level (once they get the ability) through any melee weapon (or is it just particular ones?), which means you could possibly use duskblade levels to acheive the same effect without having to hold the charge first.

    Martial Study Feat

It's an XUL page- the XML-based files Firefox (and other Mozilla applications) use to define their interfaces. It'll resolve perfectly well if opened in Firefox, but other browsers will have no idea what to do with it.

Blade of Blood + DR 5/-

Doesn't DR generally prevent "physical" damage from spells (bludgeoning, slashing, piercing) but not other types?

    Martial Study Feat

Treat it like having levels in two spellcasting classes... wizard 1/sorcerer 1 doesn't have a caster level of 2, and psion 1/wilder 1 doesn't have a manifester level of 2. That character only has a manifester level of 2 in Psychic Warrior (or 3)... not nearly enough to burn all 7 PPs needed to...

Wolf Fang Strike maneuver - what are the penalties?

So the opinions so far seem to be for it as a "replacement TWF"... My player will like this, as it gives a worthwhile maneuver to use with her sword-and-board fighter's general fighting style... and it qualifies her for the Hunter's Sense stance (gain the scent ability).

Wolf Fang Strike maneuver - what are the penalties?

Page 90 of Tome of Battle has the description of the Wolf Fang Strike maneuver. The description is a bit ambiguous, so what final version of attack penalty distribution would you use: (a) the user takes TWF penalties, and then -2 to each weapon on top of that, or, (b) the user takes -2 to...

    Martial Study Feat

I could see Martial Study (Sapphire Nightmare Blade) as extremely valuable for a ninja, rogue, or other sneak attacker or sudden striker. (Get an opponent flat-footed, more-or-less guaranteed, 1/encounter...)

D&D 4E 4E suggestion - remove save or die in favour of two types of hitpoints

Things might go the route of what I think designers have already outlined (as possible 3e rules) once or twice- a save-or-die actually takes a few rounds, or a cumulative effect, to work completely, and in the meantime you just suffer assorted penalties... and the effect can still be halted by...

    Missing spell?

No. There's a blurb in the section to the effect that spells there should be harder for PCs to get than standard ones, but not impossible.

It is. Look in the dragon section, not the player section.

Will Iconic Monsters be re-buffed for levels 15-30?

Who's to say that being able to beseech a high angel for aid in battle, call back the hero who defeated the Grand Evil once upon a time and died in the process, see fate changing around you, reverse gravity itself, imprison a being's soul, transform a rock into a fire-breathing dragon, destroy a...

So tell me what is so special about Star Wars Saga Edition?

To some degree, the difference is that SWSE supports the "heroic fantasy", "wuxia", and "superhero" game types quite well... without really supporting "gritty fantasy" unless you run it very carefully. Whereas D&D starts in "gritty fantasy" territory, and only gradually shifts into the others...

So tell me what is so special about Star Wars Saga Edition?

Give an example of where SWSE is arguably more complex than the game that preceded it (SWd20 Revised)?

So tell me what is so special about Star Wars Saga Edition?

    To repeat myself... "defenses, which are 10 + heroic level + stat bonus + class bonus. Base Threshold is equal to your Fortitude defense." EDIT: Sorry, just... gets a little frustrating saying it repeatedly. :D;;;

So tell me what is so special about Star Wars Saga Edition?

Yes, if you're willing to adapt spells to it.

So tell me what is so special about Star Wars Saga Edition?

There are no "saves" in SWSE. There are only defenses, which are 10 + heroic level + stat bonus + class bonus. Base Threshold is equal to your Fortitude defense.
