    DFA tips

Frankly speaking, I don't think DFA to be your friend. Unlike Warlock, DFA does not have Deceive Item class feature. In my experience, just having descent CHA and 9 ranks of UMD skill does not make a UMD monkey. The modifier will not be high enough to use even the lowest level magic items...

    Standard high-level adventurer's kit

Exactly what level range are you targeting for? Depending on that, I may start replacing Backpack for Heward's Handy Haversack. Here's some random thoughts. First, check PHB II Standard Adventurer's Kit. That is a good list indeed. IMHO, weapons, both silvered dagger and splash weapons...

D&D 3.x 3.5e: Bludgeoning reach weapon other than Ramhammer?

Thanks kitcik. Picer Staff seems to be the best one. Monsters always have better weapons than humans have.

D&D 3.x 3.5e: Bludgeoning reach weapon other than Ramhammer?

The title says it all. Are there any bludgeoning reach weapon in 3.5e, other than Ramhammer in Planar Handbook?

    D&D 3.x 3.5e: More splash weapons?

Thanks for a good list, RUMBLETiGER. Right. I am not including DMG options such as future weapons. I am mainly trying to find more ways to utilize Launch Item cantrip.

    D&D 3.x 3.5e: More splash weapons?

I remember that 3.0e supplement Arms and Equipment Guide had some additional splash weapons (grenade-like weapons in 3.0e). I found some in Planer Handbook. Are there any other official 3.5e book which contains additional splash weapons?

    Warforged and Mummy Rot

They are affected by Con Drain. Because that is an Ability Drain and Warforged are subject to ability drain.

    Warforged and Mummy Rot

Though not a "natural" disease, Mummy Rot is still a disease (supernatural disease). Warforged is immune to disease, natural or not. So as a L3+ Paladin. Both of them are thus immune to Mummy Rot. On the other hand, a L5+ Monk is not immune to supernatural or magical disease. So he is affected...

    prestige, Arcane Archer vs Soulbow

I doubt if not using physical arrows is such an awesomeness. The most successful archer build I have ever seen is a Scout/Ranger (with Swift Hunter feat) who carries TONS of relatively cheap magical arrows (bane, holy, Greater Dispelling, etc., made of various special material).

    Rules Clarification: Ray Deflection

Ray Deflection spell says "For the duration of the spell, you are protected against ranged touch attacks, including ray spells and ray attacks." It protects from ranged touch attacks. That is the rule text. Ranged touch attacks includes ray spells and ray attacks. But not all the ranged touch...

Mark of Healing: use a healing power on an ally

This feat says, What does "use a healing power on an ally" exactly mean in this case? Should the ally must be the target of the power in order to be granted a save? Or, does an ally who is healed by the effect of a power (say, an ally adjacent to the spirit companion when a shaman uses a...

Try it in your game? Remove caster level.

Yep. But that is CR 20 in average. When the example was a level 20th PC, using CR 20 monsters as comparison is a fare start IMHO. Sure, CR 20 monsters are the strongest kind of critters in the core rules. But so as 20th-level PCs. And in this case, we are talking about usefulness of an ability...

Try it in your game? Remove caster level.

I can easily imagine that spell-caster PCs will start to rely more on scrolls and other consumable items. As their lower-level spell slots are nerfed down, they need some other things to complement. By the way, if you tries to use Monk as the measurement for game-balance, why are you trying to...

    Is Rogue a problematic class?

Yep. A party should not totally rely on a rogue (or other classes with Trapfinding class feature). Divinations, Abjurations & Summons should be co-used. Especially after, say, 5+ levels. In case of rogue combat optimization, I usually end up making some multi-classed rogue/spellcaster. Sneak...

    D&D 3.x 3.5e: Fitting a Full-Plate

The problem is, Fabricate does not work on a magic armor.

    D&D 3.x 3.5e: Fitting a Full-Plate

Well PHB says each suit of full-plate must be individually fitted to its owner. Though a captured suit can be resized to fit the new owner at a cost of 2d4x100 gp. Now, how long will it take to make a captured (or simply bought) full-plate to be resized to fit a new owner? And, how long will...

    Duskblade with a spellbook

Ah I see. Still if I were a DM, I will only allow it case by case, after carefully inspecting each spells. Duskblade can channel any spell he knows, and quick cast any spell he knows certain times per day.

    Duskblade with a spellbook

You mean, allowing a Duskblade to cast a level X Sor/Wiz spell as level X-1 spell? At lower level, it may simply make a Duskblade a stronger caster than a Wizard or Sorcerer. For example, at level 5, a Sorcerer cannot yet cast a Fireball. A Wizard start to cast a 3rd-level spell once per day...

Looking for help - Pale Master?

Another option could be Death knight template (CR +3) in MM2 (MM2 has an official update PDF for 3.5e). Roll up some evil cleric or necromancer and give it this template. As a Death Knight can have undead followers (up to twice his HDs in total), in addition to the undead monsters which he...
