i would ditch Bull's Strength as your first 2nd level spell. by that time you're likely to have gauntlets or a belt of strength. get Blur immediately. it is a FABULOUS spell.

keep in mind that the Bard is the Jack of all Trades. shouldnt the Jack of All Trades know a bit of magic along with the zillion other things he knows? i recommend the Expert for your would-be diplomat since the best choice, bard, is disallowed. they can. it's called critting. :D

dude! if i could remake my rogue-invoker i would SO make her a rogue-druid! they get ALL the fire spells at wicked low levels, get to shapechange like mad (which is a good way to get out of an entangle or briar web right away) and become immune to poison! sign me up!
