Do you have a nickname? Not online, I mean?

I knew he was still alive! Now all we have to do is find Tupac and start making more records! :) Uh, let's see. Most people call me Joe, couple of girls and my fam calls me Joey. I was called "Takedown" in high school (wrestling team) which was shortened to TJ in college (Takedown Joe)...

What do you store your books in?

I too use bookshelves. I have a couple of milkcrates from when I used to carry all my stuff to games when I was a kid. Now we game at my house. If I travel for a game I usually just fit everything in a backpack or two. Not sure what to tell you, maybe buy another of the containers you like...

Would You Allow an Old Starting PC?

I'd allow it. I don't see any problem with it if that is what the player wants. I try to be accomadating to players; anything that helps them roleplay or makes it more fun. I would rather adapt as a dm than make my players adapt. -Shay

    Colossal D&D Miniatures News!

/agree Yep, these will have to get budgeted for now. I *need* big dragons! -Shay

Mysteries of the Moonsea (summer 2006)

It is only listed as 32 pages on the site, so I assume this will be an adventure despite the fact that it is listed as a hardcover. -Shay

Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss

Erik has been pretty quiet on this one. In fact if I wasn't so excited when I saw it I would not have posted it. I think he is obligated to keep quiet about exactly what it will be about. For now. When he is ready, or able to, I am sure he will speak about it. I hope this post generates...

Mysteries of the Moonsea (summer 2006)

Heh, there's more! Much more. How about this lineup? 1. Player's Handbook II by David Noonan (Author) (Hardcover - May 9, 2006) 2. Fantastic Locations: Fields of Ruin by Gwendolyn F.M. Kestrel (Author) (Hardcover - April 11, 2006) 3. Voyage of the Golden Dragon by ed Stark...

Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss

Well I have a title thanks to Amazon! Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss has Erik Mona and James Jacob listed as authors. I am guessing this was the super secret project mentioned by Erik and others in earlier posts. I can't freaking wait! Summer 2006 cannot get here fast enough. I know...

    Would you find this rude?

I'd wait. I wouldn't go so far as to say what you were doing is rude but it might offend the current DM. If you want to prep do what you can without dealing with the players directly. Hope this helps. -Shay

Can a dozen orcs challenge a 17th level party?

I'm really sorry about this. I generally read and follow instructions well. Why? Why are you doing this? What purpose does it serve? -Shay

    Player's Character Sheet

I would help them go over a sheet if they asked but in general I trust them to know how to make a character. If something is wrong and it comes out in the game then we fix it. No big deal. -Shay

    Players forgetting their PC's shtick.

Eh it happens to me sometimes but most of the guys in my group are either in the same boat or pretty sympathetic. I plan on making a "cheat sheet" but I haven't got around to it. -Shay

Have you become disillusioned with 3rd edition?

No complaints here. My current group has changed a couple of rules but they are mostly designed into the homebrew we are playing and less because the rules are "broken". -Shay

    Best pre-3.0/3.5 FR Products

Hit EBAY! Volo's guides are really flavor heavy and great. The North boxed set is really good, the Raven's Bluff Living City book (free download at TSR) has some good info in it. Basically if you are looking for fluff for FR you can't go wrong with old stuff. Hope you find what you seek...

    Mapping Software

They are different, as others have said. Both also are difficult to learn. I would suggest that if you do go with Dunjinni, make sure that you get the Campaign pack add-on. It helps with more world building type stuff, which is lacking in the product IMO. They are both cool though. -Shay

Best (and worse) new base classes from WotC

I played a Hexblade. It was enjoyable. Hexing should be more powerful IMO, at early levels I had trouble cursing anything because the save was pretty easy to make. -Shay

    2006 ENnies discussion

Dex, I think this is a great idea. Speaking with Crothian at length about this gave me a good perspective as to how much work this actually is, and the fact that the submissions coordinator is sending stuff all over North America made it more difficult. Crothian was fairly certain that his...

    Would you buy pre-made campaigns?

Absolutely, in fact I own Shackled City and WLD. Time is a key factor for me. While I don't DM anything currently that is always subject to change. I don't know about running through say the entire WLD, but rooms in the WLD can fit in other dungeons of my choosing. I think they are a...
