My question was about one hit die. So, considering the fighter with Con 16, if the HD result is 4 or 5, it counts for 6. It's an average regain of 8.8 hp. Without the feat, the average is 8.5. The benefit is not so great compared to adding 1 to an ability score.

Hello, A fighter with the Durable feat and Constitution 16 rolls Hit Die to regain hit points. Does the minimum regained by HD is (3 x 2) + 3 = 9, or only (3 x 2) = 6 ? In other words, does the minimum apply to the roll before adding the bonus, or to the final result ?
