    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

No, I have said "all of them are derided by people who hate the idea of "modernizing" the game."

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

If someone is using a meme template made by a well-known literal nazi, and we point it out, then getting defensive about it being pointed out, or getting defensive baout it on someone else's behalf, it makes them look disengenius. Simple "I didn't know, won't use it again" would suffice.

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

Then it is a great opportunnity to spread awareness and warn them from using works by a literal nazi. Then I do not think you qualify as someone who hates the idea of modernizing the game - to hate an idea of something means to hate all its aspects and these are all listed as such.

They aren't as separate as you may seem - all of them are derided by people who hate the idea of "modernizing" the game.

    Simpler alternatives to run Shadowrun?

Cy-Bog + Mork-Bog hack is an interesting option, adding it to the list Another possible option I have realized - Outgunned with mixing some of types of action flicks it can be about from its expansions.

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

I mean when people are mocking these high heels using template from a comics by a self-admitted nazi, I won't blame anyone for going to such conclusion.

It's from asventur where villain at one point drives group of dancers into murderous rage. why are people so upset over normal art in this game?

    Simpler alternatives to run Shadowrun?

I am looking for ideas for systems that I could run Shadowrun that are not as complicated and crunchy (and, let's be honest, mess) as Shadowrun itself. So far I have been eyeing Cypher System, Daggerheart, Savage Worlds: Sprawlrunners, Runners in the Shadows and Shadowrun: Anarchy. I am looking...

Check Out The Mutants & Masterminds 4E Playtest

Well, how many playtests are as big as an average D&D 5e book? I would be interested but I think I felt out of love with superheroes.

Describe your last RPG session in more than 5 words.

My lat sessoon was blades in the dark and I found out this system is not good for running a "boss fight", even by using clock for villain (demon gangster) to not die in one shot, he still went down like a chump.

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

They tried to make it default. In 4e. By the way that ediotion sold, I do not think it will ever see this setting again. Then why are you being mad in this thread again? It's your right to not buy the books, but why make such a big mess about it? And what's with the tangents about Star Wars...

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

Even among the publishers and writers no one has full grasp of the lore. I assure you, all rpgs are full of books written by writers who added something with no idea another writer is doing something contradictory. Mystara in particular is a whole setting built on it. I once attended a panel...

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

Those are mutually contradictory and BOTH are inrrecoicable with them being Neutral. If they value independence to the point they cannot tolerate other Amethyst Dragons or form a society, that is not Neutral, that is Chaotic. If they value principles of noninterference so much they cannot ever...

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

independent =/= isolationist Now you're just clinging to words like drowning man grasping at straws. The issue is that the old descriptions themselves come from assumptions their society is 100% shaped by their inherit nature and said nature cannot be changed in any way. You yourself just said...

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

And yet PDK are also idealistic knights, in the vein of Camelot, aren't they? Every time Cormyr has been ever described to me it was as "King Arthur-style place". Do you really don't think that kind of people would not benefit from having a mount who is a mediator? It feels like a match made in...

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

Give me one reason that isn't among the lines of "Amethyst Dragon's are inherently evil" or "Humans of Cormyr inherently want all Dragons dead".

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

I have Teaming up suddenly, last friday after first meeting doesn't make sense. Joining forces over the course of events that happenned across 125 years? It can. Why are you assuming the former is what happenned now? Also, let's be real here: Some high-level guy killed an Amethyst Dragon and...
