    Can you count?

Reminded me of the old Dragon Magazine "Challenge of the Champions" adventure that had a riddle in it.

D&D 5E (2024) Help me flesh out this adventure idea: The Skull

There are two skeletons. The players will think there is only one, but the head talks about the body trying to get him and wishes to be reunited with his body. The players will think that they need the body attacking the castle, but his body is hidden in the cellars.

    D&D 5E (2014) What's a non-culty official adventure?

The 3 starter box sets are all rather non-cult. The after Icespire Peak series does have Talos cultists but are more barbarians if you are looking for a longer campaign.

D&D General What to Do with a Dragon Corpse?

A recent TV show had escaped prisoners from a blown up secret jail blah blah. Had one that staged victims to I think greek muses. Made me think of a dragon diorama sold to a noble so he could make a stature of him poised to slay the dragon.

Dungeon Mastering as Management: A Leadership Case Study

In theory, the players all want to be there. At least D&D has this going for it over work.

    OSR Healing tweak - proportionality

Seems logical but got me thinking on healing spells being powered by divine power and not the recipient. Kind of like putting $20 of gas into a car but your car can hold 20 gallons and mine only 10. The $20 of gas (1st level spell) is enough for 6 gallons which will fill mine more than yours...

Power Rankings: Weird Al's Top 26 Songs

Man's 65 years old, at this time and not when the thread started a few years ago, and still has the jealousy hair. I say that since I now have no hair.

    Why do the Actors Matter?

I'm glad that when they remade the original Star Wars movies the just called them a continuation of the series with new names and bigger bad guys. I mean it was the same story copy and paste.

D&D General Weapon Mastery - Yea or Nay?

Like a lot of rules and sub-systems, I have the players do the work. If their PC has the mastery to grant advantage next round, the player needs to remember it. Same for the monster getting disadvantage on hitting them. They remind me when I'm going around the grid rolling dice. A lot of the...

Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set Price Point Revealed

I'll likely buy it. I would just want the adventure and do not need the rest, so maybe DMsGuild, but I do not think I can wait that long. I seemed to have missed this class. but I do recall that the first one is free.

    Why do the Actors Matter?

It has been done with Rhodes. Nobody retired, but I gather there was casting issues and actor egos and such. It did not bother me. They were both fine.

RPG Buzzwords that have effectively lost their meaning due to poor over-use

I just seen on another thread- Mary Jane / Mary Sue / Billy Bob, whatever we call the name besides Superman. To be fair Mary Jane Rotten-Crotch was a name we used back in the Army. She was not that powerful unless you came back from leave with a little extra.
