    It really depend on how magic is available. if magic is available, free, without control then a society can discard some of tech, if magic is rare, dangerous, mysterious and controlled then people will seek other means like usual tech. a mix of both is my best take.

    A lot of people already play mostly those levels. Say 3-10. And rarely experiment high level play, So you say that we can just ignore level 11+ and concentrate efforts on lower level for balance, fun, playability. What to do with higher level? Add an additional PHB as a supplement to core rule?

    The fighter we seen in the last UA will be much likely the core fighter for the next 10 years. So the mythic Fighter can only be hope in supplemental product, third party or home brew. Guess what in all those three cases it will depend on DM approval.

    You see I put no value on a wizard casting Teleport or a Cleric casting remove curse, the player just apply a feature from his character sheet. I don’t see those action more valuable, clever, or a sign of better play than requiring external help to do the same thing.
